Alien Covenant Prequel and Sequel Books...solved?

I was thinking about these books today and I dug up the news posts about them. Then I commented in them (forgetting that as new releases, they wouldn't be bumped in the forum).

So first.

In regards to the news release from Rick:

This indicated we'd get a chance to send some questions to the author Alan Dean Foster about any of his novelizations including the ones he's working on now.

Did I miss this? If not is it still upcoming or has it been put on hold until a time that is closer to the books release?

Next, regarding the books, a news release from Chris:

"Not only are Titan Books publishing an Alien: Covenant prequel novel, written by Alan Dean Foster, they are also going to be publishing Alien: Covenant 2 - The Official Sequel to the Blockbuster Film! The 304-page paperback novel is expected to hit shelves on September 26th, 2017."

I keep seeing confusion in the forums about how many books are slated to come out. I tried googling but didn't find any indication of two books. Has anyone confirmed that this will definitely be 2 books? One before and one after Alien Covenant?

Alan Dean Foster has confirmed he has written the novelisation of Alien Covenant which is out later this month. In September we will see the release of an original story which is set between Prometheus and Covenant. Alan Dean Foster has confirmed he is writing a pre equal novel on his own website and it is indeed what Amazon UK are promoting. The confusion was caused by Titan who made the first strike and called it a sequel to Covenant.

Good morning Michelle Johnston and QueenElizabethShaw. Amazon changed the characterization of the title of the sequel novel when Ridley Scott announced Alien: Awakening. I believe Titan was going to plan with the mystery until Scott blew out in the interview at the time that Alien: Awakening was next. Then Amazon changed the description.

If you visit this topic, prepare yourself for a mountain of wishful thinking from me because I believe/wish/hope that a good portion (if not all) of Alien: Awakening was filmed with Alien: Covenant in Spring 2016.

Michelle Johnston and Ingeniero

Thanks for helping clear that up for me. Now, does anyone know what's going on with this Alan Dean Foster Q&A?

Somebody PLEASE contact Amazon and/or Titan!  This listing title is just going to continue to cause confusion

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.  I watched Androids blow and finger each other's flutes.
