Is Kirsh a double agent working for Weyland-Yutani? Was the crash intentional?

AdminEngineerAugust 20, 2025Watching the series unfold, knowing Weyland-Yutani and their synthetics, makes me wonder if Kirsh is actually a plant / double agent working for WY… I wonder if the Maginot crash trajectory was intentional to land in Prodigy territory, knowing Boy Cavalier would take the bait and try to steal whatever proprietary technology was on board? Delivering a payload that would take out the unsuspecting Prodigy corp from within.
Think about it – Morrow has a weapon that stuns Xenomorphs, meaning WY have means of containing them and neutralizing them if they get out. Prodigy is on an island, isolated from the rest of the world. An outbreak would be easy to contain.
The Maginot mission took 65 years.. yet only on the last sleep/wake cryo cycle an Alien “breaks containment and conveniently sends the ship on a collision course to Prodigy city?
WY also haven’t launched an offensive to recover their Trillion-dollar assets. They’re sitting by, letting a lone Cyborg play in Prodigy’s sandbox.
Pair that with how Kirsh was behaving around Boy and the Alien eggs in Episode 3, makes me think there’s a conspiracy at play here and Weyland-Yutani staged the whole thing to eliminate Prodigy from the running. Would also explain why there’s no mention of the corp in the future movies.
