Marvel's limited Alien series Alien: Icarus has concluded with its sixth and final issue before it’s relaunched in April of this year and with it came a dramatic twist - the hybridization of Xenomorphs and Synthetic Androids! Writers Phillip Kennedy Johnson, paired with artist Julius Ohta brought to life a completely new threat to the Alien franchise (seen below) that pits Humanity's greatest threats not against each other but combined as one super threat.
Without giving too much of the plot away as to how the Xenomorph Android came to be, the concept was always alluded to throughout Ridley Scott's Prometheus and furthermore in Alien: Covenant - David's obsession with creating the perfect organism would have eventually led to the inevitable combining of biological and mechanical beings. Unfortunately, we just never got to see how that process unfolded on the big screen.
Nevertheless, Marvel took a crack at it and the latest series concludes with the reveal of just that - a more humanoid Xenomorph with both biological and mechanical physiology:
Unfortunately the next Marvel Alien series will be kicking off with a completely new creative team and will take the story in a completely new and unrelated direction to where Icarus left off, so the likelihood of seeing how this Hybrid would have terrorized the galaxy will never be seen. It remains a fascinating concept however and one that fans have discussed at length on these forums since Prometheus came out.
