What did David 8 say to the Engineers on the way to LV-223 (see "Transmitting Message" displayed in the above hologram facing David 8)?
Wow! :) He was a professional. And what was his reward? He lost his head.
Be careful with that pictures. :)
Fascinating summary.
He's a smooth talker Ati so it looks like Dr. Shaw helps him out with that. David 8 was able to pick his chin up (with help) and work with others to regain his previous capability.
There are another shots of the domes in the film, but they can be seen only for moments. I'll add them later.
There was radio silence from the Engineers upon the approach from the Prometheus ship.
One of the crew members claimed "nobody's home" when they received no feedback from the signal they were transmitting nor the signal David 8 sent to the Engineers on the way to LV-223.
They were unable to answer David 8's message he was transmitting (see title image) because someone else visited the Engineers before the Prometheus crew did in the early 2090's.
[transmitting message] 'Dear engineers, please never leave rifles around in your xenomorph laboratories, because we sure will not. Regards, David 8 & friends.'
Inquisitor Fifield, thank you for that interpretation but I never said it was the Prometheus crew who left the glaring rifles on David 8's workshop floor.
I believe the mountain of rifles piled on the floor of David 8's workshop on Paradise were left from another crew entirely.
I think I'm looking forward to the settlement of the 'great space rifle debate' in May more than the film itself!!!
Indeed we can safely assume David has a Photographic Memory and he would only need to look at something for a split moment in order to take a snap shot of this that stays in his memory.
Things the humans would have missed, we can be sure David did not.

Yes BigDave, what the humans missed or could not decipher David 8 kept between himself and Peter Weyland.
Indeed and we have to assume prior to when Weyland told David to Try Harder David was not aware of any surviving Engineers at this point. The question is what did David know prior to this point, what did the Doors have written on them, and what about the Urns..
And when he spoke to Weyland maybe Weyland only wanted to know if...
1) David has found any Engineers
2) Or anything Technology and what it was able to do, in relation to help Weyland extend his life.
Weyland did not come to this place just to look at a Ancient Race of creators History and Technology, he was a desperate man hoping to find these Gods or Technology they had, that would be able to help Weyland conquer his own Mortality.

Yes BigDave.
"Weyland did not come to this place just to look at a Ancient Race of creators History and Technology, he was a desperate man hoping to find these Gods or Technology they had, that would be able to help Weyland conquer his own Mortality."
Peter Weyland admitted to Dr. Shaw that they were there (LV-223, Prometheus Mission) to save him from death when she sat in front of him after testing his MedPod.
As for the domes, they are not discovered by Charlie first but by the Prometheus computer. It shows not only the (nazca) lines, but highlights the dome as well in one of the screens:
"What did David 8 say to the Engineers on the way to LV-223 (see "Transmitting Message" displayed in the above hologram facing David 8)?"
David didn't say anything. It was a pre-recorded message containing a stack of data similar to the record on the Voyager space probes.
"David 8 exhibited traits of preference in changing the color of his hair and styling it close to a movie character he quoted later, Laurence of Arabia, when saying "there is nothing in the desert and no man needs nothing"."
Interestingly David quotes the film twice (as far as I know). The desert quote and "big things have small beginnings" - neither of which were spoken by Lawrence.
Really great shots Ati, especially when the Prometheus window display highlighted the nazca lines. That is when someone claimed "nobody's home" when they were coming into the canyon in view of the pyramids/domes.
