I was just checking imbd for any news on the covenant sequel and in the trivia section I found this little piece of information.
Ridley Scott has confirmed that the Engineers will return for the sequel. Scott has suggested that a group of Engineers who had been absent from their home planet when David destroyed it will seek revenge on him for his actions. This may allow the sequel to rectify continuity errors between the original Alien (1979) and Alien: Covenant(2017), especially how the original abandoned Engineer spacecraft crashed with a shipment of Xenomorph Eggs if David had indeed been the sole creator of them.
now its not any new news that there will be enginears in the film but it does give us some insight about the plot. for example planet 4 was not the enginear homeworld like many of us guessed, that it for sure taking place after covenant and not in-between promethous and covenant and that the engineers are in full revenge mode. sadly, it does not give any information of the whereabouts of danials and tennasee.
also there was this information on the production page:

- 20th Century Fox Film Corporation (2019) (USA) (theatrical)
this meens that ridley scott is the only producer to this film. covenant was produced by him and tcg entertainment.
what do you think of this information? let me know in the comments

Timmy the ultramorph That plot won't get anybody excited. They need to bring something new to the table.

It's barely started pre-production yet. I wouldn't be reading too much into any of this yet. A whole lot can, and will change, especially if the Disney buy-out happens.

if the disney buyout happens, I will burn disney land to the ground file a lawsuit against dinsey for the custody of the franchise and if i lose I will kill myself.

Timmy the ultramorph said, "if i lose I will kill myself."
That's if you're lucky. We're talking Disney here.

Timmy the ultramorph haha I hope you are joking. The idea that Disney is going to make every Fox property into a fairy tale is simply not true. Some of the movies Disney is producing on its Marvel division are pretty gritty, like "The winter soldier". I just watched that movie and I was very surprised of how violent it was.

to me. my biggest worry is that they will force awakens it. I hate the force awakens so so so much. its essentially is" you know starwars is a thing. lets throw random starwars nostalgia at you so you will be like, starwars is cool!!!!!

also, the alien series is kown for its iconic female characters who don't feel the obligation to fall into a romantic bond with someone. do you think that disney would keep that. eather that or they will be like ray who in trying to make the movie feminist made her a perfect person in every way making the charector uninteresting.

or maybe they will pull a marvel on us and make the alien / predator/ terminator/ star wars universe in with they will release 3 of them per year until they become a formulaic cash grab with little to no originality whatsoever. (sorry. really do't like disney. am probably eggsagerating)

Timmy the ultramorph Well, then Disney passed the test in "The Force Awakens": no romance blossomed there. And I am not a big fan of that movie. And I don't think anobody will be complaining if we get three Alien films per year lol

yeah. I just have a personal hatred twords disney ever sinse forse awakens and probably judge them way to harshly.

If Disney runs with the franchise and ruins it, I'll simply stop supporting it and tune out like I did after Star Wars Episode 1- even though it wasn't Disney.

I think we need to understand the Alien: Awakening Information could be subject to change, RS had hinted the next movie would be Filmed in Summer of 2018, likely for a 2019 release but everything has gone quiet since Alien Covenant had taken such a negative feedback and disappointing BOX Office, all we have heard from RS is that he feels he was ahead of the Game with the route they had taken Prometheus, and so stepping away from the Xenomorph... and he has stated the Next Movie will touch upon AI more.
Things could be subject to change, i think by May 2018 we should get more information to whats happening with the next project..
As far as the Engineers i would not get our hopes up to much, RS comments seem to show they turn up and discover what happened on Planet 4 and are off to get David, but thats not Guarantee we will see Scenes of them arriving at Planet 4, we could just see them turn up in the 3rd Act to Origae-6 and be pretty pissed off.

As a note, Disney will not acquire Fox. From some sources.....It will not happen-
