In 1995 Carrie Henn briefly mentioned James’ ideas, or framework, for an Aliens sequel: “I know that James Cameron had planned to have Hicks, Ripley and me in Alien 3, to have a family-type thing.” Her feelings about that not happening? “Still, life goes on.”
Lance Henriksen also revealed that Cameron had discussed some character beats for Bishop in a potential third movie: “I also remember Jim saying to me [that] if we ever did another one that what he would have done is probably had that character realize that somebody had fooled around with his brain and make him constantly worried that he was going to do something dangerous. And so I thought, ‘Well, what a nice piece of conflict that is.'”
Earlier in 2004 he had said: “Jim Cameron […] was talking about doing another Alien movie. He often pondered about what he might do with Bishop, saying that somehow they messed with his brain to make him dangerous.”

its a fairly save ark to take within a movie yet offers so many possibilities. u can even have the AI help the humans right upto the very end or even have a sequel only to find out the AI is indeed a malicious evil entity programmed by the company to get what they want by any means so the AI chooses to be helpful until it can close the door slowly before the poor bastards can escape from the xenomoprh, turn to them with a smile and walk off.
the general feeling about AI is that even artificial intelligent life will develop the basic protocol, survival. and will view humanity as a threat in a heart beat so should we ever create it?

Carrie Henn and Lance Henriksen just touting for work in a future Alien movie. Of course they would say this, they get paid to act. Probably not even true.

Carrie Henn only ever acted in that one role and has said she has no intention to ever act again, and hasn't. She is a school teacher and child development professional. She's not looking for work.
Although Im sure Lance Henrikson would jump at the chance to be in any new Aliens film but he is way to aged to reprise his role as Bishop, unless they use him as a voice actor/narrator which could be cool.

No more of those characters. No more James Cameron. And that AI idea is really boring. I think the David arc is much more interesting and not rehashing an alien idea with an "evil" AI. Sigourney Weaver was a producer on Alien 3 and so why doesn't anybody ask her why she continued with the script we saw. More to the point the assembly cut. At that point of the franchise if she wanted to have those characters in 3 it would have happened..............

Would have been interesting to see how Cameron would have tackled a Sequel to Aliens.... and i think Exploring a Rogue Bishop would have been a Good thing to had explored.
No doubt a Camerons Alien 3 would have had to introduce the Xenomorph but how if Hadleys Hope was destroyed? And so having it that Bishop is actually doing some Dirty Work for the Company in Pursuit of the Xenomorph and Acquiring some Eggs etc would certainly had been a good way forward.
Would Bishop had started to behave in a sinister way due to damage he suffered by the Queen? Or could he have already Sinister Motives and when Caught out.... would attempt to use this damage as a Excuse?
