MemberOvomorphJun-20-2017 4:11 PMI wanted to talk about how the androids think the xenomorph is the perfect organism. I have a few points that shows its not true at all. Especially over time, For example say a face hugger came to earth and starting talking over humans and all indigenous life. You would think we and all other animals wouldnt last long and be taken over quickly. Here is my major point. What happens to the xenomorphs once they have taken over a world and consumed all life. They would eventually all die off from not having anything to incubate and the question becomes whats left for them to consume. The Xenomorph has basically three functions. If you were to compare them to humans we are a far better species. Why, cause our limits and things we can do our almost limitless thru time. The xenomorph has a much better survival rate, but for how long. Let me know what you think.

MemberChestbursterJun-20-2017 4:55 PMIt all depends on you definition of perfection. It does not sound like yours is the same as Ash and David's at all. Think of it from their perspective, not that of a human.
Ash's definition pretty much said it all, and now that we know Ash's lineage, and David's mindset on creators and their creations, it has made that definition of perfection even more powerful.

MemberDeaconJun-20-2017 4:58 PMIt depends on what the Xenomorph Organism is like... what do they need to Eat, how long to they live for.. we know they need Hosts to Procreate.
And so if they are just Larger Agressive Ants/Cockroaches etc indeed once they have killed off all Food Sources and Hosts then all that would remain is Eggs.
If we look at say the classic Giant Ant movies like THEM! Imagine if a Large Colony got infected and grew to the size of a Car, then expanded in Millions, before long then indeed it could post a threat to all Larger Forms of Life on Land...
So it depends what the Xenomorph really is... if it indeed is a Engineered Weapon... where it eventually dies out and leaves just the Eggs.
Then and especially if we ignore Camerons ALIENS Queen, does make for a Interesting and effective Bio-Weapon.
Its just the containing, retrieving and storing of these Eggs thats a Risk.... for Biological Lifeforms that is... not ANDROIDS.

MemberDeaconJun-20-2017 5:00 PMAlso as Kethol mentioned it depends how we look at it as Perfect, if are we looking as a individual Organism? Or how it procreates as a Species.
ASH saw it as a Organism that is not clouded by Morals or Emotion.

MemberFacehuggerJun-20-2017 6:11 PM@ridinvail: The xenomorph's apparent ability to eggmorph every living organism into a version of itself suggests not so much that it is the 'perfect organism' but the 'perfect cleaner'. You have to remember too that the definition comes from a being that is not organic. Given that Ash and the other synthetics are created beings, it would deem the xenomorph's ability to replicate by using the available 'meat' resources as 'perfect' since it doesn't need to destroy the remainder of a planet's environment to thrive. And if the synthetics consider their ability to serve as a form of perfection, perhaps they can see that the xenomorph has likewise been created for a specific purpose, cleaning a planet for takeover/ reconstruction, so they consider it is perfect in fulfilling its created function. If the Engineers then created us, and were not happy with how we went 'off track', this raises the question of what our true purpose was to them.

MemberOvomorphJun-20-2017 7:06 PMThank you to all of you for your replies, they were very interesting and informative. I guess I'm just speaking about reality and life in the universe. If your talking about the movie universe, yes there is no stopping them. One more point i would like to make. I'm no movie buff just a nerdy biologist. There is no life on earth that has to have three stages or steps if you will for birth. When you start adding things in nature to conceive the harder things are to reproduce. I really enjoyed all your responses and was particularly excited to read your reply Big Dave, i love your topics and your not so liking of alien covenant. I mean an android created them cmon maaaaaaan lol.

MemberOvomorphJun-21-2017 11:43 AMIt was just the OPINION of Ash. His perception of the Xenomorph. It doesn't have to be true.
Also, the Xenomorph should be considered a weapon. It is perfect at what it does: killing enemies.
Whoever created the Xenomorph, did not intend it to to thrive and prosper like mankind.
