To me, at least, I think that Peter Weyland was a great character in the film. I know a lot of u disagree but his acting (Guy Pierce) and plus his role had a major if not the most major part of this series. Without him there wouldn't be the Nostromos and so on and so on. Bring Guy Pierce back somehow.

They should keep him alive in flashbacks, maybe even make an android that looks like him

Guy Pierce is ok. I'd prefer an actor with more intensity/gravitas, though. Maybe Sir Ridley told him to play it low-key or something...

I also liked that character. That ted talk was very impressive, well written and interesting. At least for me.

me, too
I really love Peter Weyland this character, too.
Who can becoming Peter Weyland in real-life?

Agreed. The opening scene of Covenant is terrific, and it puts a lot of things in context. Guy Pierce is a good actor and he does a grand job. The emotional interplay between him and David is well delivered.

For all his genius, power and wealth, Weyland is a pretty shallow individual. Guy Pearce put this across perfectly, showing just how conceited and superficial Weyland is.
All of it got him nowhere, his greatest creation will outdo him and he realises that too late. The genie is out of the bottle, theoretically the genie will live forever and Weyland is filled with a mixture of contempt and jealousy when David states the obvious.
