I read in the comments that a small bit was cut out from that clip

That the facehugger was damaged (missing a limb and part of it's tail)

So I'm guessing the other guy cut the tail/leg and that's why he got acid on his face

But I'm guessing the guy who looks up, gets killed, while the other one goes on to live, because he has an embryo inside of him.

I think when it was on his gun it also got clipped by a bullet through the body...hard to tell.

yeah that's the first time someone has pulled it off prior to embryo insertion.  But where did the acid come from?

Well, given how easily it was pulled off, and the fact it was on the business end of his gun, I think it got wounded by a bullet and was thus weakened. Re-watched it a few times, really hard to tell.

That said, in my works, you don't get rid of a facehugger that easily... ;)

Why not?  I'm sure a big burly man can pull a little chihuahua hugger off his face.  Not to sound perverted.....It's not like he has a 300# woman sitting on it his face.  Both can kill you.

But remember what happened when they tried prying it off Kane in ALIEN?

"Hold it, you're tearing his skin."
"It's not coming off without taking his face along with it."

Sometimes you're better off NOT being helped...though with a fachugger, it becomes a Devil's Choice. :D

Bdub - that's a point of conjecture.  It is very hard to tear skin without a point.  Also after the hugger shot his load and died there were no tears on Kane's face.  If it was tearing the skin while trying to pull it off there would have been a wound, correct?

This shot is a edited version from the movie, it basically bleeds just as the one in Alien Did when Ash and Dallas attempted to remove it... This one must not have had as tight a grip...

Yeah, there's some obvious problems with it, as while the dialogue on screen states what happened, Kane had no visible wounds from such 'tearing'.

Then again, this fachugger was attacking a GUN...and if our cat Mk is any indication, there's always 'one' in any litter that's the oddball. :D

Remember before that, when Ash tried the forceps?
That's when the skin-tearing comment comes in. It always sticks in my mind as we see NO blood and commonly in movies, you have dialogue as such, you some blood, even only a couple of drips, right?

The one in Alien Naturally came off though when the time was right, but Alien it gave the impression if you tried to pull it off it would tear the face off..

I will have to see the movie again a 3rd time and keep a eye out for this scene again, as maybe the Tail did not wrap around the neck...

Appears it did... just looking at this edited clip as the movie its longer.... but from this clip maybe it never attached quite as good as Oram's and Kane's.

Have to go see AC a 3rd time, no rush though...
