Hi friends, after reading Alan Dean Fosters Alien novelization and a 1979 comic book based on the film, which were both phenomenal, I haven't really read anything to do with the Alien Universe, other than check out some Giger artwork and re-read Alien and ponder it obsessively.
I was really anticipating reading the novelization of Prometheus prior to watching the movie, because I tend to enjoy the way books delve deeper into characters and societies than possible on screen based on their format. If any of my fellow fans have any suggestions for a good read, I'm open to books, screenplays, comics, Graphic Novels, Dark Horse, Giger's works, etc. Thanks in advance and it doesn't necessarily have to be your top five, it could be one or twenty. As long as you enjoyed it.

there's a couple pretty good threads on this already. Chris started one on "What to do leading up to A:C" and there's another one on the order of the "outside the film" literature that is canon. Both are on here, and all of it is really really good stuff. I just finished reading Out of the Shadows and "Sea of Sorrows" both are very good books, IMHO. I've read the novelizations of the movies several times over, and there's always something new to glean. Unfortunately, as far as I know, the novelization of "Prometheus" was only released in Japanese for some reason. Would LOVE to get ahold of an English version of that, if anyone knows where it can be found...
