Ripley from Alien: Ressurection was a clone + hybrid from tainted blood sample from human Ripley, she had a xenomorph queen chestburster inside after all which is why the clone had both human and xenomorph DNA

I think Alien 5 is your answer..... the method they use to bring back 3 dead characters... Time travel? Cloning? All a dream? Seriously...How are they going to do this?
If you can bring back the dead then anything is possible.

@MonsterZero
They said it was going to be a sequel to Aliens, so I suspect A5 will just retcon the last 2 installments or at most mention A3 as a dream.
I didn't know Ripley's mom would be in Covenant, but if she is I'm sure it will just be by coincidence rather than some greater plan or Alien experiment that the members of the family run into Xenomorphs.

Well I think Alien 5 will just ignore Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection, more like an alternative sequel ending than link it with Alien 3/Alien: Resurrection continuity.

Maybe we all Humans could be Aliens?
But nope i dont think there is a special relationship apart from Ripley just getting involved with the Xenomorph as per Alien and Aliens.... but i do think they are going to tie her name and origins into the Franchise but hopefully this is not going to mean anything important prior to Alien as at the time of Alien Covenant she would only be about 12-13 years old.
So please no Ripley playing Alien Covenants version of Newt!!!
But i would not rule it out...

I'd like Newt to become 'unbalanced' and maybe evil for Alien 5...She's been through a lot, lost her family, must be having some real PTSD.
Be a shame if they just made he another Ripley.
Newt hanging around the Engineers...They made her a Goddess. She wants to reshape mankind.

@MonsterZero
I highly doubt that, if anything they said they want Newt will likely succeed Ripley as the Heroine. Like she did in the Alien comics

@Xenotaris
Yeah, I think you're right, I'm almost positive A5 will be a action flick(with the full plot of A5, able to be written on the back of a postage stamp in crayon).

Well Sigourney Weaver is 66 right now, I doubt she wants to keep going with the franchise even if she is the face of it. It's probably hell to go through some of these roles of action/horror stars, I'd be surprised if Ripley doesn't die(again) in Alien 5.

Looking forward to both Alien Covenant and Alien 5, I hope they borrow elements of Alien: Earth Hive, Alien: Nightmare Asylum, and Alien: Female War... for Alien 5's plot

FACEHUGGERS! - Hmm...that is certainly a very interesting hypothesis! :)

I hope not, to me that would just be a bizarre thing. This isn't supposed to be a personal attack on you Facehuggers! but I really don't like the idea.

Oh, its fine! I hope the franchise isn't as crazy as I am! :) Hahaha
Thank you!

Aorta: I don't think that there should be any Alien movies after Alien Resurrection except for the prequels but that is my opinion. They should try new things instead because having ten movies in a franchise is really boring.
Like I said before: why can't they try new things? As a matter of fact I am thinking about paying more attention to new movies that are not X number 2,3,4, and so on rather than to watch movies that are a number in a series where they do X number 10, 11, and what ever.

"Like I said before: why can't they try new things? "
It was called Prometheus.

@facehuggers! id be sad if that was the twist lol ;D
I love the xeno aspect of both human and alien to be apart in the case of Ripley...and the fear of both combining thru sheer terror, and not co incidence.
But regardless its a hair raising topic @facehuggers! :D
