Was it the squid facehugger attached to Engineer's body in Alien movie?

After I finished watching Prometheus DVD yesterday, I watched Alien movie again:o) and really the top part of Engineer's fossilized body/suit looked like remain of fossilized squid facehugger from Prometheus movie..for sure it is not the part of the Engineer's suit-that "elephant proboscis" it seemed to be too big..

OvomorphMember0 XPNov-04-2012 1:19 AMno. its the "proboscis" from an engineer's suit. You have to use your imagination (because ridley didnt make alien with intentions of eventually making a prequel), but remember...the suits are potentially bio-mechanical. We dont know how the engineer in the chair on LV 426 might have degraded based upon the hostile environment of said planetoid. the hose/proboscis runs down into the ribbed portion of the suit. Presumably its a lot longer than just what we see sticking up over the ribbed portion of the "chair suit". Add A Reply
