Oddworld Series
Probably one of the better-known alien game series featuring the slave race Mudokons who became enslaved by the Glukkons because of their passive attitudes. The most popular Mudokon and the series’ main protagonist, Abe (remember Abe’s Oddysee) is cute but lazy, don’t let that fool you. Abe does eventually escape and becomes the savior of his species. And while the Mudokons are passive aliens and practically allow the Glukkons to enslave them, they can, possess other creatures and turn themselves into formidable fighters. The Oddworld series is a two-dimensional game where players oversee Abe. You control Abe, solve puzzles, and navigate obstacles while avoiding enemies all while trying to save Abe’s species. Some of the alien species in the game include:
- Sligs
- Slogs
- Scrabs
- Paramites
- Bats
Ratchet and Clank

The pair travel through the universe saving the inhabitants from the forces of evil. The Lombax species is a humanoid species that is found on the planet Fastoon which is in the Polaris Galaxy. Lombax are widely known throughout the galaxy for their mechanical and technological ingenuity - they come equipped with a range of gadgets. Lombax are also cat-like and have large rectangular feet. While these little creatures might be technologically advanced, they are also skilled fighters as it is listed as one of their natural abilities.

The future of Alien
The Alien franchise is taking a dramatic turn at 20th Century Studios, now owned by Disney. Currently there are two major Alien projects in development - a new Alien TV series by Noah Hawley and a new, stand-alone Alien movie being directed by Fede Alvarez. Both of which will be taking the franchise in a new direction - moving away from the Alien prequel direction Ridley Scott set out to pursue back in 2012.
