Great find, deffo looks like Fassy!
That image appeared on the cover of Interzone magazine issue 250 from 14th January 2014!

Definitely sporting that Nostromo badge in the shoulder and no doubt it looks like Michael Fassbender! Although it's not directly for Alien: Covenant, perhaps this piece was used as inspiration for Alien: Covenant's suits? It will be interesting to see! Great topic!

It will be interesting to see how similar Alien Covenant ones are... i think they are aiming for a Merge between Alien and Prometheus.... basically a Alien style suit with a more streamlined update
That concept work fits that nicely

Ah. I doubt it's a concept design for Covenant if it was on the front cover of a mag from early 2014.
Oh well, just one more cluster **** by me to add to an ever growing list lol. Sorry folks!
The poster was good though!

Necro that concept could still be very relevant!
Wayne Haag has worked on many films and perhaps this was an ad aimed at Ridley Scott?
If so, it worked cause he's been hired!

N4- This is the first I've seen of his work so thank you!
I knew I heard this name before in connection to A:C, but I thought it was Chris Haag, glad for the clarity. I see echoes of Simon Bisley and Moebius there, that's pretty freakin exciting, I think.

I also see those connections Aorta.... and while its not Alien Covenant Concept work it could be something that could influence it... but i doubt it...
But then who really knows

A lot of Haags work that is related to Sci-Fi does fit in with a very Blade Runner theme....
I think it could be possible his role is in the Sci-Fi Alien meets Blade Runner style that Fassbender commented on.
He also did this concept are where he listed it as "Alien Temple . Film Pitch Concept Art . Digital"
suits would fit into a Alien 1979 look...
But thats not to say this is in anyway related to Alien Covenant.

It has a 'Don't go in there!' feel to it. Poor humans. Always getting in trouble.

the introduction on his page states that he is doing work on the new film:
"I have 20 years experience as a commercial artist working for the film industry. Notable assignments include...and currently working on Ridley Scott's new Alien film."
so it will be interesting trying figure out just what he ends up working on that appears in the film.

Well i know what two artist are working on....
But with regards to Wayne Haag its would appear to be odd environment detail as far as giving some aesthetic looks to the technology and suits in that era of time.... his work does also involve vehicles too
And so i think yes, Space Suit design and other aesthetic elements that would make a Bladerunner meets Alien would be what he is involved with.

Aorta: Yeah but humans are curious and sometimes curiosity gets you into trouble.
