I read a section and I noticed the parts where the engineer speaks. I can imagine that some sentences were used for the deleted scene. It has a very deep sense. Some part we can understand... ...but he engineer just knows the bad things of earth and not the beautiful things of life. I wrote some comments to it: LAST ENGINEER This is not my home world. My home world is Paradise. I not did ask your kind to come here. Why is you're presence disturbing my atmosphere? (But he should know that life develops itself and sometime we will become highly developed. ) LAST ENGINEER Many worlds have been crafted by the hand of our fathers through the blood of our lord. Yours was the only one that was successful. The Star child of the universe. Yours is the only star child that is like our home world. (Wow. More worlds than ours and his? What kind of creature? Sounds a bit like the bible or a bit poetic. The last sentence would make more sense without "child". Like "Yours is the only star that is like our home world." Sir Scott said something different about it. I am really excited how their home world will look like. :-) LAST ENGINEER Hate? We gave you this emotion. We gave you all emotion We had expected not of your evolution. We took care of you, gave you fire, built your structures. We gave you Eden. You worshiped us. We praised our creation from above. We watched you time and time again kill each other, start wars. We came back and saved your souls but we left you to make your own fate. But your kind is a barbaric violent species. We tried once more to save you. We took a mothers child back to Paradise and educated him, taught him the meaning of life and creation. We put him back into Eden to educate your kind. But your kind decided to punish him. We gave you the fruits of life and you repay us by leaving it to rot. You talk of me of hate? Prepare for rapture! (Where does the evil came from? Not from them? .... What does he mean with "Mothers child"? Jesus? And "Fruits of life"? LAST ENGINEER Your kind is not worthy of this. What makes you think I shall give you this prize. Tell me, Why? "A king has his reign and then he dies. It's inevitable." Thats what Meredith Vickers said to Peter Weyland. What do you think? This 'Orange' draft has been around since 2012 and has also been discussed on another Prometheus site. I'm not fully convinced it's the real deal either.

http://www.prometheus2-movie.com/uploads/PROMETHEUS.pdf OMG - is this for real? Who the hell HACKED that script into the abomination that was Prometheus' final final final cut? I mean, seriously, Prometheus IS NOW PROVEN to have nothing to do with The Original Space Jockey, nor his Alien Egg Cargo. This franchise is a reboot. Though the hieroglyphs in the green goo pre-Hologram Replay would have been fun to see, as would David's other ALTERNATE VIEWPOINT i.e. ultra-high-energy sight. But they wanted him to be 'human' so we didn't see any of his extra-machine-abilities. Why was this script so DENUDED or CRIPPLED by whomever? Anyway, it's still proved itself to be NOTHING BUT A REBOOT, no matter how clever.

@Staff; Any news on whether or not it is authentic?

The poster was good though!

There was one link that was supposed to debunk it but the site took the article down. People have e-mailed the address that supposed to be Damon Lindelof's e-mail and got no reply. Damon has left twitter so there's no chance of asking him personally that way. The draft contains spelling and grammar mistakes according to those who have reviewed it as well as other mistakes. As I said before it's been around since 2012 and there's been no word since then on it's authenticity. Until there's official word that it's real I'm gonna stick with saying it's a fake.

The script explains too much, gives full and total reasons for everything. To me thats not really congurent with the alien movies. On those grounds I would say its fake (totally unprofessional opinion) . But In a deleted scene with david and shaw. Shaw asked david what the engineer said to him. David replied " There is no direct translation....some of your ancient cultures had a word for it..paradise" . Which seems to support the script 17.
"how do you feel?"-" great, next stupid question"

I think the dead give away that its fake is the place where fifield and milburn discovers the pile of dead engineers I one of them remarks that the holes in the engineers was not made by predator guns I don't think lindelof would put that in there. It has however many good ideas. Kudos to the "writer". If you read this why don't share you ideas on prometheus . I'd love to meet you and ere yout thoughts. Peace.

Hi first post. Been reading what everyone has to say and found it really interesting as the movie leaves a lot to the imagination. That script that was posted is probably the most enlightening in terms of the story line/plot . What has to be realised is that this is a three part story and if the extra detail re the engineers and the religious angle had been included in movie one the plot would have been pretty much revealed and it would have been hard to divert. As such it is no surprise they took a lot of it out. Also from a commercial point of view to link it so heavily to Christianity at such an early stage would have meant some markets would have been more difficult to attract an audience. But that script would have been based on the story outline that Scott gave them to work with so you can expect to see that angle evolve (in my opinion). I suspect he may make it that more than one 'emissary ' was sent, eg Budha, Jesus etc to broaden the audience appeal, but we refused to listen hence the decision to give us 'rapture'. Rapture to me is a key word, its use is not accidental. It would imply a test where the holy are removed (to Paradise???) whilst the rest are left to slug it out. Introducing the 'Aliens' would certainly do that and maybe the aliens were what forced them to evolve to their enlightened state). What I find interesting is that the engineers have not been in contact for 2,000 years (we assume) so they have not seen the great reliegons of the world form. Will that change their minds? Is Shaw's faith and crucifix being so prominent by accident? I find it hard to believe that they wanted to destroy us, I think they wanted to 'teach' us like all parents do and that whatever they were planning was designed to cull the weak but also improve us spiritually. Of course that's unless Scott decides to change tact completely...... Anyway hope I have not bored anyone and thanks for all the interesting angles.

Welcome aboard mirobot Yes that draft did seem a bit too Christianity orientated But it did explain things better..... However i think the draft is a fake one, a fan edit of Lindeloffs the person has tried to add scripted parts to scenes we have seen and know took place in shooting i.e deleted scenes and some seen in trailers but never on film or even deleted scenes. But then there are some omissions... inc also the movie they did shoot many other scenes, such as after the Engineer was shot he said something to the crew.. This scene was never on deleted scenes but happened and this script does not have that in it also. Thats not to say that when filming they have to run it word by word on script, and its not to say that a script cant have things cut from it and then others added for the shooting of the movie. But i do think there is a high chance this draft was a fan made modification but one thats well done to say the least. (apart from some holes off course). As far as the actual movie and plot, well the movie is a bit of mess, ambiguous ok, but then there is so many many contradictions its actually like watching the Bible lol You see yes the wanted us destroyed aspect is a bit draft, yes thats what they wanted to do, but is that what they wanted all along, as thats what David hints at (sometimes to create one must destroy) well this is just one of many problems with the movie. If they wanted to create us so they can use us for Xeno invasion or to experiment on, by changing us to monsters from the Goo or even if there is a purpose to use such things to extract DNA Surely there is a better way to do that, and the movie shows the Sacrificial Scene was a long long time ago and maybe kick started Evolution and not simply create hybrid like Spaights draft did. Also if they wanted us dead so bad, how come no other Engineers came to find out what happened, did they just abort the mission and leave us to rot? This is not so much a problem as maybe Paradise would explain why they never came back to LV 223 or Earth and thats if the others knew about us and LV 223. Another problem is well, they supposed never came back..... but some of those Star Map Findings was from cultures and dates after 01AD. But the movie has so much scope, that any sequels could build upon and learn from mistakes and make for a epic Part 2 and 3.

It might be fake but I don't think its a mistake that faith seems to be such a strong part of the story line. I am not religeous at all but when you go back and watch it is constantly in the background. I don't think it is coincidence. The deleted parts of the opening scence certainly imply a religeous type ceremony re the creation of life. Couple of other things that I noted last time I watched: 1. The captain twice appears to lie about not being able to see what the lost crew members are sending him via video feed. We can see it so I assume he can but says video feed is out. 2. When David pulls up the star chart their is a ring of what appears to be DNA code floating around the outside of the galaxy. Not sure whether this will have any significance. You reckon he will have a flash back of the black goo wiping out the dinosaurs? I really don't think the first instalment is a mess, it has set it up nicely, and often the first instalment only becomes clear when the following movies come out. Lets hope.

Yes the movie has a religious connection... Basically the idea is and was, that all our religions on Earth are connected in some way and each is just a telling of how each culture interpreted their creation by beings from the Heavens... And that in reality it was these Elders/Engineers who created us. I dont think for a minute we are going to see a magical man in the sky and that we will see Jesus as a Engineer. But yes could be the Angels are indeed the Elders/Engineers and there may be some higher being at the top.... and Jesus... well could be one of many hybrid humans the Engineers used as emissaries.

What if the old dudes from the deleted opening scene are the higher being and they created the engineers to be their children as they could not/did not want to breed anymore? Maybe they bred the engineers as clones (they all look pretty alike) and they can not reproduce but they can seed life. They rebel or a faction does (doesn't every child want their parents to die) and out seek to wipe us out as we are designed to be be a self replicating life form and populate the galaxy? The fact that its been 2,000 years since the outbreak and no one from Paradise has come to check on them implies Paradise is dead, no one knows about these guys or Paradise sent in a hit squad to take them out (but why leave one alive). Or could the guys at this outpose be acting independently of Paradise and when Paradise found out they sought to liquidate them and undo what they had done? You could go mad thinking about all of this!
