MemberOvomorphJun-01-2012 6:39 PMWell it came (excuse the pun) from Holloway's dear sexual glands to the final shot.
Hollomorph - YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST !
Or perhaps just a 'Proto-Dome Warrior Xenomorph', vaguely similar to the one in Alien. Okay, that's enough from me

Where did you hear it was a xenomorph? That would be a HUGE deal. Because that would mean:
1. The bodyhugger plays exactly the same role as a facehugger, implying IT is the mistake, not the proto alien, and
2. The proto alien at the end really IS a jockey alien.
Seriously, source please, this is important.

MemberOvomorphJun-01-2012 6:46 PMIts clear that it is a Xenomorph of some kind. Have you even seen the film?
The body hugger IS a face hugger, just a variant type of appearance. Maybe an obese one. Did you see it stick his dick down the engi's throat!? and 'hug' his face/body.
and what do you mean mistake?

MemberOvomorphJun-02-2012 3:22 AMThe Maxi-'Hugger' reminds me so much of the original concept by Giger that they couldn't do originally:

as for the creature itself...I think the Alien was ALWAYS a Jockey hybrid (did you get the exoskeleton etc on the living engineer?) and what we see emerge is the ORIGINAL Alien (I hate the word Xenomorph). I don't follow this whole 'takes on the genetics of its host' mythology (go ahead, flame me if you like :-) ) I think, like any creature in the wild, it's genetics adapt with various stimuli, through a process of mutation. It's just due to the biomechanical technology that created it that it's able to mutate far quicker.

AdminEngineerJun-02-2012 8:46 PMThe Alien has always been a Jockey-Hybrid.. Prometheus shows us this. It's a genetic anomaly that should have never taken place under any circumstances. But did.
I find the new Alien better than the one seen in ALIEN. Why you ask? Cause I find it's entrance more gruesome - ripping it's host's body right open instead of one hole with that razor-shaped dome.
Not to mention it's jaws are way scarier.. especially how it extends so much, like a snake unhinging its jaws almost.
Absolutely hideous and beautiful all in one. A hideous creature which (in later sequels) will pose some SERIOUS scare moments for us and beautiful because it stays true to Giger's original concept while adding some extra spice to make it look a bit more menacing.
I really like the concepts from this film - they executed each one perfectly design-wise.
Hyped for: Alien: Romulus | Badlands (Predator 6) | Cloverfield 4

MemberOvomorphJun-04-2012 8:10 PMThe Alien at the end was a Queen. If I remember correctly The Queen had a secondary jaw that popped out unlike the drones. So it's nothing brand new. Just the whole new complete CGI concept makes it look much different in my opinion. And how else would those Eggs end up in the ship in the 1979 Alien. But this asks the question as to how the space jockey ended up where he was in the original Alien (on the seat) whereas in Prometheus, the last engineer came for Shaw and ended up being the host to our first Queen Alien? So who's in the seat?

MemberOvomorphJun-05-2012 6:44 PMIn reply re the space jocky. The ship is not on lV 426. Thats a different space jocky on a different planet.
