MemberOvomorphFeb-29-2012 10:13 PMHello everyone. First post here. I searched but did not find a thread re possibility of additional backstory tidbits being released. I think we are in for some more tantalizing treats. Here's why. The TED video takes place in 2023, but is part of a 50 year celebration of Weyland Corp's founding ("50 Years of Building Better Worlds"). That puts the current Weyland Corp web site year at 2073. I bet additional backstory elements will pop up about what Weyland does (the man and the Corporation) and what the state of the world is circa 2073. What a great way to create interest. Thoughts?

Some very very interesting information to be gleaned from the ideas they are talking about........ You just have to read between the lines is all :-)

MemberOvomorphMar-01-2012 2:01 PMWelcome to the community, Ralphie. I'm a newb here, too; I only joined a few days ago.
Anyway, about your post, I'm also hoping we can expect more Weyland backstory. Honestly, there are few things in media (movies, TV, games, etc) that are as fascinating as backstory.....but given how secretive Prometheus still is, we can't expect anything new too soon. To me it would be reasonable if it's one thing per month, though I personally think those would be trying times.
They've already got some good stuff going with Mr. Weyland's speech having premiered two days ago. Hopefully we can expect more in the near future.
