With Dan Trachtenberg's Prey movie introducing audiences to a more primitively designed Predator and the upcoming Noah Hawley Alien TV series and Fede Alvarez's upcoming Alien movie inevitably doing the same with the design of the iconic hostile perfect organism, it's at this moment before we've been given any official material where we begin to wonder what the new Xenomorphs are going to look like. With the Alien TV series acting as a prequel to the established lore and the new film being completely disconnected from the established lore - we can only assume that the Xenomorph design could be taken in a very different direction.
With its Biomechanical origins having been seeded by the late master H.R. Giger himself, we've seen a wide array of more biological and more mechanical designs for the Alien across the decades. One artist, Dmitrii Ustinov has envisioned a more mechanical aesthetic for the Xenomorph (seen below) literally called Alienbot. Check it out:
Given that the Alien TV series will focus heavily on Synthetic / Artificial persons and intelligence, it's not out of the realm of possibility that we might see more of a blending of mechanical and organic technology in the form of a newly designed Xenomorph.
Regardless, whether or not the upcoming Alien TV series or film dramatically shifts the design for our beloved Xenomorph, this artwork remains pretty remarkable and worthy of recognition.
How would you feel about a less organic looking Xenomorph in the upcoming series or movie? Let us know in the comments!

The future of Alien
The Alien franchise is taking a dramatic turn at 20th Century Studios, now owned by Disney. Currently there are two major Alien projects in development - a new Alien TV series by Noah Hawley and a new, stand-alone Alien movie being directed by Fede Alvarez. Both of which will be taking the franchise in a new direction - moving away from the Alien prequel direction Ridley Scott set out to pursue back in 2012.
