This is the most active I've been on these forums and I've seen some arguments and disagreements about certain things.
I guess I just wanted to say that I value everyone's opinions and views and we should all try to be as open minded as possible. The resolutions to these arguments has been peaceful thus far so that's a plus.
As for the picture, which artificial person is your favorite and why?
Even though I chose good ol' Bishop as the picture, I'm going to say Ash.
Cold, calculating, and calm. Ian Holm was fantastic and really set the bar for future actors playing synthetics. His ability to act stoic yet curious was the best to date (I'll admit, Fassbender is very, very close). The hidden agendas and the fact that he really didn't divulge much added to the tension of the movie and made it even more suspenseful...go ahead and try to argue that....you have my sympathies.

So far for me in order:
Ash
Bishop
David
Tough I think David/Walter will take the first spot after seeing AC.
"Kane's son"

Ian Holm's performance was by far the best.
Bishop is my favorite cuz he's literally the hero of Aliens.
David is the most fascinating take on an Android.
I don't care for Call. Bit whiny.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

I agree with Myrddin365. Yes, it seemed like Bishop acted in true concern for those around him. Ash was very hard to beat but David may do it.

Bishop was perfect... in ALIEN 3!
While he was conversing with Ripley in death throes, everyone saw some really amazing animatronic work that Lance Henrikson and ADI brought to life. Brilliant end to a beloved character!

Good topic!I'd rank them accordingly:Bishop,David,Ash,Call. Not everyone likes Call but I think she's one of the more interesting parts of Alien Resurrection. And judging from what I've seen,Walter could rank pretty high too.
Nothing the God of biomechanics wouldn't let you in heaven for

yeah...is a bit of sad that people most of time forgot about, Ash simple because most of people known Alien through on Blockbuster action/scifi/horror Jame´s cameron. Just because is more Popular doesn´t mean has quality.

It's not so much quality as it is personal preference. For me Alien and Aliens are neck to neck in terms of quality.

David. Ash and Bishop are wonderful too. I just really dig the David take. Walter may be a whole different beast, who knows.
Does Call count? Winona Ryder did a terrible job in that film. Great in Stranger Things, but terrible in Resurrection. Made it difficult to watch, or even care about her character.

Call was my least favorite, David by far is my most favorite android of the series. He's got the most depth and I feel is furthest from his "synthetic shackles", if you will. He will be the catalyst for this entire universe so he has my top vote without a doubt!

David is my fave but truthfully only because I have a crush on Fassbender....but looks aside Bishop is my fave
My sis pointed this out and I wanted to know what everyone else thought: All Androids names went in alphabetical order: A Ash, B Bishop C Call D David but now....Walter? ABCDW?
just a side note seeing if anyone else noticed and thought this might be a clue to something more....

Perhaps Walter is actually E-vil...? It definitely breaks the trend, but could have been done on purpose.
Unless, Walter is not purely Synthetic, but a cyborg of sorts. Half man, half machine. An experimental version of the David model? I dunno, I'm reaching. An organic component could make Walter susceptible to Xenomorph infection though... Hmmmm

@Hicks/Hudson lol!, the caption in the image is a pearler love it!
Ash for cunning and Bishop for just being the helpful good guy.

To me, David is the only one in the series to have the center of attention pretty much. More has been put into his character development than others thus makes for the most interesting synth IMO.

I nearly chose David for my number one,but i had to go with Bishop.Out of all the movies, and with the exception of Call,he was the only android to not stab any one in the back.He would have had a great ark if they made William Gibson's version of Alien 3
