North Bergen High School's Version of Alien

“Everybody is (rightfully!) very excited about the North Bergen High School kids’ version of Alien, staged as a high school play, with all props made from recycled materials,” he tweeted.

The Ridley Scott-directed science-fiction horror film stars Sigourney Weaver and centers on the crew of a commercial space ship that is invaded by a deadly extraterrestrial." (source)

Well done North Bergen High School!

"The play was adapted and directed by English teacher Perfecto Cuervo. Among those credited with the design is artist Steven Defendini, a North Bergen High School teacher who instructs drawing and digital media." (source)

Thank you for the excellent work!

Almost 3 million Twitter views according to the news clip.  It appears this was not recorded except for some audience cell phone clips. Maybe another school can build on this idea.

One thing is for sure- there is still a lot of Alien interest out there and it is great to see younger generations are into it.

Hey Disney- this school spent less than a year and less than $4K and made headlines- YOUR TURN.

This is in daliens' thread but I am placing it here too for more exposure.

Alien- The Play footage. Starts at about the one minute mark.

The guy in the Big Chap costume has got the moves!

Thanks for the Hollywood style presentation, Ingeniero.

These kids deserve the front page.

Oh- and Disney- If you are wondering if there is an audience for the franchise, look no further. You have teens, old geezers and everything in between waiting to buy tickets for something good.

XenomorphMember1299 XPMar-26-2019 11:35 AM

And Disney, let Ridley Scott finish his prequels before turning Alien into a Marvel franchise.

This topic is the sequel to daliens topic on the same thing, here

The sequel may not be as good as the original.

XenomorphMember1299 XPMar-26-2019 1:46 PM

As dk said, the "sequel" brings more exposure and this is the most important.

You put more creativity in your topic and the proper title, anyway, I appreciate your mentioning, Ingeniero.

The set, props & costumes look great, wish we could view the whole play!

Fantastic to see such interest & enthusiasm from a younger generation for my favourite film!

Oh my god I wish I could see the whole thing!

Look upon my works, you mighty, and despair

If a Forum member knows anyone in that school area, maybe the word could get out to do another show and record it. It would be great if anyone there is a Forum member.

Looks like Siggy approves and Sir Ridley has offered financial assistance for an encore! check out daliens thread for updates //

It's going to happen!

Indeed DK  her Video is HERE

Its interesting as she hinted the ALIEN has NOT gone away, is that a indication that something is HAPPENING behind the Scenes?

Only Time will TELL... but i suspect its more chance of seeing a Blomkamp Inspired ALIEN movie...  I am sure that Emma Watts was championing for the Prequels to be Finished though.... just as soon as they GOT the right Story!

BigDave In the video, notice when she mentions Cameron, she glances and sort of points to her left- as if JC was there.

Nice Spot..... could be nothing but who knows...
