What the title 'Awakening' tells us..2,826 Views4 RepliesAdd A Reply
So the title 'Prometheus' hinted at 'Mary Shelleys Frankenstein: A Modern Prometheus', 'Alien: Paradise Lost' hinted at Milton's Paradise Lost, ideas that were visually and symbolically teased out in the script for A:C. So what does 'Alien: Awakening' hint at? Does anyone know of some classical text/poem titled Awakening? I just know Ridley has a habit of dropping large hints..
Well, rumors says that "Awakening" was a title for Blomckamp's Alien 5. Nothing more.
I hope they won't use the title Awakening.
To me it is like someone that is waking up in the morning takes a shower drinks some tea and so on. Maybe it is connected to the Xeno's morning routine?
First get something to drink, read some and then go out and kill some humans. ;)
From a news read a month ago, RS said that Awakening the provisional title of the next chapter, can be placed chronogicaly between Prometheus and AC revealing some important information on the home planet and all the shabby and charm of that alien planet and the android that becomes the king , as an ambiguous figure and only effective survivor.
my opinion about the next chapter and according to the sincere words of RS we could have a prequel-sequel chapter of AC, how we worked with 300 the dawn of an empire, see a planet as a paradise that transcends into another form and David as leader, still transcending on Origae-6 but with different shades.
Awakening could be to indicate Shaw and all that happens remained hidden, when there are too many questions arise, here we see the true identity of the android and she begins to be afraid, he suggests to make it better, as long as it allows him to experiment , she refuses and escapes, escapes to hell where the only way out is death.
Awakening catapulted to the Covenant, here we see Daniels shaken, perhaps by Muther, comes out still in the crio suit on the fence of the lawn , we see hope abandon it when all the settlers are gone, she is alone and in front there is only death.
