Entering the Valley
I wanted to revisit the Prometheus crew making their way towards the valley on LV-223. No secrets revealed here...just landscape imagery.
Dr. Shaw and Dr. Holloway were on their way to obtaining everything they ever dreamed of...well, almost.
Time to map the pyramid.

Cool pics, this one kind of reminds me of the Nazca lines on earth.

It gets me all the time!!! And, mind you, I just saw them again yesterday. What a thrill!

One of the many awe-inspiring visuals in Prometheus! It is a modern sci-fi horror classic!!!

Just watched Prometheus for the first time after Covenant's release, and just realized that seeing Shaw there will never be the same... that weird feeling towards her, by knowing what a fate is waiting...
Great images as always, Ingeniero.

Cerulean Blue I would argue that it is a modern sci fi classic but not horror. the horror was one of the places were I thought it kinda fell. the caesarian sequence was intence though.

Thank you for the kind words contributors. I bet watching Prometheus after Alien: Covenant was a real treat Farlander. My thoughts too regarding the lines drucea.

Ingeniero - I'm glad you included the stills which reveal that the computer shows the lines and the domes first. :)

We spoke about that shot a while back and I remembered how much you liked that Ati. That is the best capture I could get before the transition to the next frame...the topic would be lacking without it.
The Prometheus entering the valley is such a great scene.

I loved the entering the valley scene, they're flying around and that guy says No radio, no electro magnetic energy, no emissions (something like that), as if it's a dead planet
But then they just happen upon that area.
It's really atmospheric, not just because of the visuals, but their reactions and the music too.

I know AdamPD...I still get giddy when thinking of the discovery aspect of it when the patterns on the ground are recognized by the ship and displayed on the window.

True!
I would like to see a space version of this approach. A ship moving slowly between asteroids, space debris, ghost spaceships, etc would be a fantastic sequence in the next Alien movie.
