In this teaser for David 8's lab, David 8 is narrating and says "I finally found my wolf" at :29 and an image flashes for a moment.

The resolution is far from producing a clear image but the shape does look familiar and is accentuated with David 8 voicing that he found his wolf at the same time the image is flashed.

Ingeniero - You have just made me very happy indeed.

For how long i dont know (since 2012 we know when) i have been longing for some clues as to what creature it is.

I searched everywhere and my biggest hope going into A:C was to get a glimpse of this creature. In life or Art. Alas it was not to be.

Even if this turns out to be a Neomorph from A:C which it could likely be, i still had that little bit of hope for a time. Well until the next comment tells us what it really is.

So nice to hear that sherris. It may turn out to be something else entirely in the flashed image.

I kept replaying it and it looked like an embryo at first glance but the familiar shape and shadowing reminded me of the discussion we had a while back regarding the Prometheus mural.

Hey guys!  Long time-   How come I cannot make out the Prometheus mural in the flashed image?  AM I missing something?  I as well think it is an embryo-

Hello Davefried81. I was speculating that the very unclear image flashed was similar to what is shown in the Prometheus mural shown in the comparison.

Perhaps the creature in the mural is the pure form of the black goo creature.  It almost looks like the Engineer figure's hand/arm is absorbing or being absorbed (metaphoricly maybe) by the creature.  The creature also has 5 ridges/rings coming around the ribcage area, along with slight shoulder ridges.  These could have been where the xenomorph's rib like appearance and shoulder "flares" are originally derived from.  Or maybe that is how the LV-223 Engineers got their "bio-suit."  Maybe once they are merged with the goo on LV-223, it gives them the biomechanical suit that is part of their body.

Some great ideas too!! i was beginning to give up hope on this creature but it is far TOO intriguing to ignore any possibility of it being correct.

I am away to look at it again see if i can get another snap or is that all we get (injeneiro may know????) sometimes the flash image is not long enough to even have a full frame. perhaps this is the case. We may have the best shpts already?

Next step we find the artist ? Who may know that?

So my ideas on the creature were along the lines of it is a bird. birds lay eggs. GIGER done a similar creature holding an egg. it looks like a very similar creature at least.

Also the submissive pose suggests the Engineer has some hold over it but that is contradicted by the Engineer who looks like he has had his stomach (liver) pecked out.

I wonder if this is representation of the LV223 Engineers getting punished for weaponising the goo? The almost Prometheus story.

One other link i have is that in the original extended scene acolyte scene from Prometheus intro the Elders start of by saying "This is the blood of our lord" i wondered if it is instead of the eggs, its blood is what they require and sarifice these creatures to get the strain for life / Pathogen ????

Then why call them lord ? unless it is because the Pathogen/Black goo runs in their veins. so they are treated like Gods ????
