I can't remember for sure but wasn't there a flute scene in Prometheus where David activates the engineers' ship controls with a flute? I haven't watched it in a while. Of course I own it. I'm tired of the childish comments on the flute scene in AC. Has any of these trolls scene Boss Baby? You know, the whole Suck It scene. Suck It Faster. While the baby and the older brother were facing each other with pacifiers in there mouth. Has any of these trolls commented on that?????

I did notice that part in Boss Baby. That sucked.
The other thing I noticed about Boss Baby is that the movie opened with a triangle pointing one direction and closed with a triangle pointing the other direction.
Yeah, sure, no hidden meaning and its all for the kids.

Yes, a flute was used to activate the control room in Prometheus. David watched the Engineer do it in the hologram, then repeated the same notes to activate it himself.

Thanks Kethol. Which means that childish trolls really don't understand the whole flute scene

Should we reveal the true reason of it or we will keep the secret? :)

That flute scene is important, it symbolizes cooperation, harmony, brotherly love, memory of Shaw.
Also this link states that flute is an instrument that symbolize God's voice.
"In early cultures the flute played an important role in the realm of magic and was very closely linked to the hereafter and the spirit world with its gods. The instrument is often shown as being played by gods or symbolizes a god’s voice"

So my own understanding is that David was trying to play the role of God.

Jonesy - And it means something else regarding a possible AC sequel... Something important... :)

Yes, David is going to teach the colonists flute playing when they reach Origai 6 and create a massive flute orchestra.
