Hi guys! I had an AWESOME Alien themed birthday! My husband and I filled our apartment with green and black balloons which looked like Xenomorph eggs and we put up a bunch of green and black streamers. My husband, sister, friends and I all wore "Covenant" T-shirts, went to a space ship themed escape room, then came home and watched Alien and Aliens!

I got "The Art and Making of Alien Covenant" book, the Dr. Shaw with David's severed head action figure and the David 8 Neca action figure (which hasn't arrived yet, and my friend says it's still on it's way from Russia).

The whole day was filled with Alien themed witticisms, quotes, fan-theories and discussions and it concluded with my friends and I formulating a plan for an Alien universe RPG game which they want me to DM! :D

Best. Birthday. Ever.

@Lawrence of Arabia

Thanks! Omg, I know! I literally told the baker "I love it so much I'm gonna die." lol.

I am really enjoying the Art and Making book! It's interesting to read each of the actors' perspectives on their characters, and to see the CGI concepts of the scenes before they were shot. (Also, I knew Fassbender had used Spock as a reference for Walter. There were times I was thinking he sounded just like Spock, down to his accent).

I didn't see the bit about Bishop and Brett! What page?? I'm a big fan of Bishop.

Are there pics of the debauchery of the work of art?

@dk

Lol, unfortunately no, I wish I'd taken some, though. I did slice a couple of pieces off the back of the Xeno's head and eat them.

Actually, it didn't look as satisfying as you might hope because inside the Xeno was just solid white. I mean...I don't know what I expected...brains?...Acid blood?

But, it definitely looked best/most realistic/most gory before being sliced.

Well, I guess some things are best left to the imagination!

PS- Double digit up votes. Those are not often seen. Congrats!

@dk

Haha, for sure. I guess that's why everyone likes the xeno to remain a little mysterious in the films.

Double digit up-votes! Woohoo! Maybe I should forward this conversation to the baker so he can see how popular his creation became with die-hard fans!

Good idea! There is a future opportunity there SOMEWHERE- I just don't know how or what. I would also seek out Lone. She digs stuff like this but I have not seen her in a while.

Page 46 for Bishop in place of Walter and page 53 you can see Brett's silhouette ;)

Oh wow, that is Bishop! Nice to see him! :,-) (I was actually super sad when Bishop died in Alien 3, lol).

I wonder why they used him in the concept art. I guess they were just beginning to toy with the idea that they wanted a synthetic to maintain the nursery.

Those vertical hypersleep pods look kind of uncomfortable to sleep in. Why does the crew get horizontal hypersleep pods but the colonists have to sleep in vertical ones? I wonder if the pods start off horizontal, and then after the colonists fall asleep, the pods are loaded onto the ship and hung vertically?

Lol at the Brett for scale on page 53. He can become a new unit of measurement. I wonder how many Bretts wide the whole ship is? Like...a thousand.

I just saved those pictures because I just realized that I needed to keep them forever.  AMAZING CAKE!

I think this should be pinned to the top of the forum a little longer because this is just b-e-a-u-tiful!

I'm glad I found it again!

Like...not host it personally, but host it at my party :D
