David 7
MemberFacehuggerJun-24-2017 6:04 PMHey guys...
Ive been busy but thinking that Scott said the Engineers will return to find their seeded plant decimated and thus, angered, wanting to find to the one responsible.
Whay if they find Walter and use him? After all, he knows where they are headed and what David is upto. I would imagine the Engineers reconstructing Walter and getting the info from him.
Just a thought.

MemberChestbursterJun-24-2017 6:17 PMI don't think Covenant was the last we've seen of Walter in any shape or form. What you say makes sense cuz how else will they find David?

MemberOvomorphJun-25-2017 1:20 AMI would think the engineers would be far more fascinated in the remains of Shaw, Walter if somehow alive does not need them... only time .

MemberXenomorphJun-25-2017 8:06 AMWell...It's been 10 years and the Engineers are yet to show up .......and how would they know the settlement was destroyed or under attack? Do they remotely monitor each seeded planet(orrery?) ?
How long would it take them to reach planet 4.
The Engineers should be able to put 2 and 2 together...plenty of corpses and a wrecked shuttle to sift through...Finding Walter would make the chase much easier.
I'm guessing the Covenant is pretty slow(conserving power and all), a Juggernaut could probably catch them....Probably around LV426!

Hey, that's a pretty good point... their recharge sails got damaged by the particle storm. Is that going to slow down/cripple the ship in some way?

MemberFacehuggerJun-26-2017 4:57 AMPossible reaction if they find Walter would be a mix of admiring/uncertainty/condescendence.
They would probably pet him like the lone Engineer on LV-223, like Walter is a small cat or dog. They probably dont saw humanoids with hairs in RL and find it 'cute'.
If Walter has luck they would reconstruct him and observe his AI with some sophisticated holographic-alien tech.
If dont, then they would probably just smack his remains in some bio-nanite-electronic substance and drain the crap out of his android nerve-system, and throw him away when done.

MemberFacehuggerJun-26-2017 8:35 AMI wonder if at some point we'll see a full blown engineer vs human war because of what happened on that planet?
Probably not, but that'd be awesome if they did.
Does Earth even have warships?

Earth would not have the slightest chance.
Even if we assume that earth has in this timeline dozens of defensive (nuke armed) satellites. Which is probably an overestimation of the real capabilites.
War ships probably not and transport/science at best.
Humans in the Alien timeline just started colonized exploring the universe, while the "Engineer species" started millions of years ago.
And dont forget the physical advantage/appearance of them being 9 foot tall and strong like 5-8 muscular humans.

MemberDeaconJun-26-2017 9:03 AMThis is a good point and one i covered a few times...
If the incoming Engineers are a Party at play in the next movie and RS comments mean these 3-4 Parties come into play around the same event... This would suggest one of TWO things.
David takes the Covenant to Paradise, and the other incoming parties arrive here.... with the Engineers very much latter on.
Or David takes the Covenant to Origae-6 or the LV-223/426 system. In which case the Engineers arrive at Paradise and must then find evidence that allows the Engineers to join up with the other Factions/Parties at play latter.
The Engineers who return may know of the Juggernaught craft and where they came from, but then who knows how many Outposts these Ships are based.... LV-223 could be One of Many Outposts.
The Engineers however would be able to determine from the Crashed Juggernaught where it came from thus LV-223 it would then also be able to determine where the Juggernaught was going to (if its destination was Earth) or indeed having found out the Juggernaught is from LV-223 these Engineers would maybe know the intention of this Place and Earth.
The Big Question is how do these ENGINEERS find out where David is taking the Covenant?
They would find all these Experiments, they would read a recording on the Juggernaught and no doubt maybe it would have a recording of Dr Shaw and David 8.... they may find Dr Shaws body.... but there is no Signs of David 8.
They will however find WALTER or his Body... and so it seems the most Logical way would be that the Engineers find out where David is off to from Walter.

MemberFacehuggerJun-26-2017 9:12 AMWas just thinking about what you wrote
Given that ships, like the one in Alien, transport tons and tons of (I assume) expensive ore around the galaxy, that would probably lead to piracy
So corporations would probably invest in some form of offensive/defensive technology I'd hope lol
