I got my tickets for tomorrow night at 10:25. Taking the gf that i recently got hooked on alien. She binge watched all the alien movies and saw prometheus like 5 times. She is more excited than i am.

Hmm, it had some good stuff to like, mostly David, but it had some questionable stuff too. Would have loved some more info on what the heck happened on that planet, but alas we only had the amount of time to try to figure it out that the covenant crew did. Here's to the next one, all hail King David.

Ha, nah, not the end of the world, seen a ton of movies that were way crappier, just was kind of messy really. Had some parts I really liked, and some parts I really didn't. 

Yeah I was thoroughly disappointed. It's just not the direction I was hoping it would go. Had to come on here to voice my disappointment.

i actually really like the idea of David the insane android mastermind, and I liked how it ended a lot, but there were a lot to the same "dumb crew" things present from Prometheus, and a few cringy moments too (the terminator brother fight sequence) But there were some cool moments too.

But every movie has parts like that really. The original Alien is always hailed as so amazing but really it is pretty cheesy in a lot of parts, and the crew does the same dumb stuff as these other crews. People wax nostalgic over old movies like that because they were the first, and started all this fandom, but to me it wasn't that mind blowing to begin with, basically trapped in a dark house with a monster. The acting and characters in the og Alien weren't any better or worse than these movies to me either honestly, and the practical xeno in Alien (guy in a suit) is pretty goofy looking instead of scary to me, so nothings perfect I guess.
