II really liked Shaw in Prometheus, even though she had some things I did not agree with, she insisted in the truth ..and why. Even with her partner dead and things falling apart she still held her faith. Even when infected by the pathogen she still managed to struggle to the point of fighting with an Engineer, avoiding the crushing of a juggernaut, an alien being torn out of her, she managed and clawed her way to safety. She was an inspiration of faith, courage, and survival. Unfortunately, she is confirmed to be dead in the new Covenant chapter. She was infected with the pathogen and most likely suffered the consequences of such dilema, she also put her trust in a deceitful android who knows no boundary to what is wrong and right and therefore likely met her fate in the hands of it all, the mad voyage of discovery, danger and destiny.
To Dr.Elizabeth Shaw, the Prometheus survivor!
Update, this is her apparently, David did experiment with her...

Do you have a link to this confirmation?
yesterday's weirdness is tomorrow's reason why

Yeah that sucks. Guess her story got scrapped when Fox wanted more Aliens.

Confirmation was made by a premier guest who is also a writer.

she may be heavily involved in prequel Alien :Awakening ?the most crucial film of the franchise?

This is what I read:
We can tell you one thing: her unforgettable delivery scene in Prometheus is nothing compared to her current state.

According to a Korean source(not necessarily credible) she was not killed by David.

I saw the movie last week. The shot of her body in David's house of horror is the only image you get of her. You also see the her tombstone that David built.

It's also a background shot.. Lope (Head of Security) is walking around and it's briefly there.

I can also address the prequel/sequel aspect of Alien: Awakening if anyone wants in regards to Shaw being in it.

I can't comment yet... Embargo lifts tomorrow night. But I will say I was kind of disappointed with how Shaw was handled. The Prologue footage with her and David should've been included.

In regards to Chris comment .I knew this was going to happen. (Spoiler) probably a quick unexplained death for Dr. Shaw is what happened .

The juggernaut does crash on the forest, we do know she was asleep inside a powered capsule. Franco dies in such cir***stances, asleep in a power or technical failure. We also know David likes to experiment on people dead or alive.

David sounds like an evil version of Pinocchio. Wants to be a real "man" and takes his anger out on the company that created him. Alien was never really about the alien. It was about the company doing everything it could to get a hold of the alien for weapons.

And the ships AI is up to no good, ... again. So it seems...

Speaking of twists... Maybe David knocks some sense into Muthur and "saves" the day. And maybe that's why he get's rid of Walter... Well, just rambling... :D
Eine Theorie die nicht auf Etwas solidem basiert ist für gewöhnlich nur Geschwätz.

So the body on the slab with the open ribcage in davids honecomb hideout is Shaws? Sucks Shaw had to go out like that. Guessing the crossing footage was cut from Covenant or intended for awakening. Was my hope to see shaw find out her answers.

Maybe it's Oram in the workshop. We know he get's facehugged. And in the trailer chest bursting scene it's also him, I think.

Yeah, that's the pic i had in mind, AronStar. The one with the "unguns". XD

AaronStar If memory serves, I thought there was a lot of debate about that pic but the consensus was that the body was too big to be Shaw. That debate got pretty heated.

Sure did dk! The body on the table really isn't that big (compare to the standing Covenant crew member). The body on the table does resemble Shaw, but I think others felt it was too big, too Engineer looking, the chest is too large etc. I thought it looked like Shaw with her chest cracked. Not sure if it is or not - I guess I will find out in a few days!!!

Ahh crap! I really want/ed Shaw to be alive. And a dark part of me wanted her to be mutated into the egg maker that was hinted at …
I guess we will have to wait until Awakening before we get to discover what really became of her.

@Tonehound
That old Giger image looks a lot like Shaw's head in Covenant as her corpse lies on the table.

After seeing Covenant, if there really is an Awakening prequel, what would be the point of it? She was put into hypersleep. Died in the crash. There's nothing new to discover with that character, which is a shame cause she was so fascinating in Prometheus.
Shaw has been completely written out for any future films :/

@deathproof - but that's the thing...she didn't die in the crash. David says so directly to Daniels near the end of Covenant.
We don't know exactly what happened.

David lies all the time so it is impossible to know how Shaw died. I personally think she didnt die in the crash, but got killed by David.
