Predictions For The End....5,208 Views15 RepliesAdd A Reply
What could be the end of Covenant?
Will a simple end result happen in this puzzle David has created, Will he indeed kill Walter and take his place on journey to the colony with alien embryos concealed to further continue his malicious research?
or will the Engineers return, kill david, destroy the habitat and take what we believe are Walters product...
Xeno eggs, part silicon and part carbon based life, results from having been facehugged by Shaws eggs. A queen results from Walters body and creates Xeno eggs. The engineers take the eggs with them, one crashes on LV426 and becomes infected, sets a beacon to warn about the new species, far too dangerous...

One can only speculate for now, but one of these theories must be the winning prediction for this dark sequel...
What do you think, what do you know?
I have got the information from sources that have predicted, many have come true and it all seems to be in check, if one prediction is right I see no reason why the others are not. Either David destroys Walter and takes his place back on the colony's journey with hidden alien embryos or the Engineers return, destroy David and the contaminated habitat as well as take Walter's product, the Xeno eggs....birthed from mixing of android DNA and human DNA.
the last shot of the film is of david/walter. so one of them survives.
my thoughts were david had planned this from the start, so knowing covenant would reply so sending a distress signal. i thought he would impersonate / swap with walter to get on the main ship for the 2000 in cryo.
however, since the crossing im not so sure.
maybe it will be walters face we see before the credits role?
Take This.... This is the blood of our lord
Ash voice will appear in the end
Maybe both then, David makes it to the Covenant in disguise with the embryos.. and maybe just maybe Daniels sees the Engineers coming from space, while Walter births the Xeno biomechanical creatures for the incoming Engineers to deal with, which maybe Davids weapon against them, Xenomorphs or Xeno eggs. The engineers destroy the habitat and take the new Xeno species that is part android DNA and Alien DNA with them as egg form, or not? Maybe as they leave a Xeno lays eggs on one of their ships, whatever it is, has to lead to the engineer on LV426 chestbursting and beacon. The one there is no neo or proto but biomechanical, walter or david must have something to do with it, I lean towards walter because he is sort of made from an artificial human construct. The puzzle pieces have to match somehow...look at walters creation video.
Looking at the pieces to assemble a puzzle...
Look at her face, she is in space, morphs usually do not thrive in space, is she looking at the incoming Engineers? Maybe she is just looking at the Protomorph.
Daniels is in the Terraforming bay in that shot, i can only assume they have trapped the Xenomorph there and have decided to open the cargo doors in a attempt to flush the Alien out of the Airlock the same as in Alien and Aliens.
As far as the ending there was the 4Chan leak ending which i wont put here in case of spoilers....
My assumption is we will believe that Walter is on the Covenant after the events.... but then we shall see Walter actually left behind stranded on Paradise.
I think the ending will be similar to Prometheus where it will leave TWO open endings and many questions.
1) What is next for the Covenant Ship, where will it go and what plans has David got for them... but maybe the ending will give more clearer insight into this.
2) We will also find Walter Stranded on Paradise and wonder, what becomes of him? Does he decided to study Davids experiments.
I dont think the movie will in any way tie into Alien more than Prometheus does, Prometheus left us clues to ponder that some events over 2000 years ago left those Engineers dead and then what role did the Cryo-Sleep Chest Busted Engineers play and is their fate the same as the Space Jockey.
I feel this movie will be similar, in that clues will take us maybe to Alien, but then they wont be clear cut.... and the next movie will then offer a alternative explanation to Alien but again not clear cut.
So after Alien Covenant and Alien Awakening we would be left with TWO series of Events/Clues set at TWO different Timezones that could indeed link to the Derelict... but with no 100% way to confirm which is the Origin.
This is when the 3rd movie will clearly show which events AC or AA will link to Alien and i feel the reception for both those movies by the fans may contribute to which route they take.

A picture comes into mind when thinking of Walter being left there, that of Geiger's alien world, maybe Walter gets face hugged and births the Xeno biomechanical creature and it reproduces making it the Xeno world after all, that is fitting the poster and the whole notion too. The Geiger alien world picture looks like the temple we see in the bombardment, could this paradise lost become the alien world we see in the poster.
I predict the ending will be ambiguous, and center around Fassbender. However, the audience will be left guessing as to whether it's David or Walter.
Repeat aloud: "In the REAL Alien Universe, now rightly lead by RS, there is NO queen."
@BD I SO hope you're right about taking that long to dovetail backendedly into Alien. The results of that journey would be astounding, although impatiently I wanna know now, lol!
I say the engineers show up in a shock twist, take the whole covenant population and convert them to eggs, which somehow make their way to the crashed derelict on 426.
what about the leap from covenant xeno to alien xeno? Walter might be the key. Needless to say, earth sends an army after the covenant and a big battle happens with the engineers, but earth has all the knowhow from davids brain to develop engineer wrecking technology.
The derelict on LV-426 has some key difference to the rest of the juggernauts seen thus far.
1; NO hypersleep capsules/accomodations.
2; The Space Jockey is a helluva lot bigger than an Engineer in a suit.
3; It is very solidly fused/melded to the 'couch'.
4; The egg bay below it, follows the design elements of the vessel and also follows the curve of the main part of the hull, like an attached, modular bomb deployment bay system.
5; It's far older than any events seen, centuries at least, possibly millenia. Dallas stated it was fossilized, which might have been inaccurate, or if biomechanical it might have assimilated the windblown powdered rock dust and such from the atmo of LV-426 and thus fossilized unintentionally over a handful of millenia rather than the millions of years it would normally take.
I'm thinking the Derelict is an older-model, biomechanically-piloted/unmanned drone warship. The Space Jockey is likely a biomechanical construct akin to David or Walter, just much more advanced and Dedicated Purpose, hence why it's melded to the couch.
IN SPACE THERE IS NO WARNING
I'd love to see the engineers show up at the end, that'd be awesome.
I'm going to assume there's only 4 (human) survivors from the mission, two die in the shower scene that we see, then the two remaining try to find the Xeno onboard the covenant, with David's (not Walters) help.
I have a feeling it'll be a bit like the original Alien, one survivor, that lady who's in the photo above.
And she does indeed flush the alien out of the bay, but then after returning to the bridge, sees a transmission from Walter on the surface warning them that David is on board...oops, too late! :P
Perhaps David then takes those 1000 people on board to the Engineer Prime (or whatever) planet as a sacrificial donation of sorts, which they then turn into eggs, put on board an older style Juggernaut, but the pilot gets infected (Karma or what?) and it crashes on LV 426.
Its going to be interesting thats for sure...
Now i have seen some more footage and trailers, the track and a lot of articles and the such... I HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE...
But i can figure out 60-70% of it.. including every death and how... but i wont do so, as it will be spoilers...
I think i have a decent guess at the ending but again i wont say so as for Spoilers, but i will be free to PM my theories ;)

BigDave- I hope you are wrong about regarding involvement of anything getting sucked out of an airlock. I got my fill of that in the quadriolgy.
There are a lot of clues everywhere now....
A lot of people are thinking that the Covenant Ending => Next movie => Derelict and Cargo..... Its not going to be that simple.
People are wondering does the Covenant go to LV-426 or LV-223, maybe but some leaks like 4Chan claim the ship will resume its Original Course... which they speculate is LV-426/LV-223
This is not the case, unless they intend to do so but David/Walter changes the Course to LV-223/LV-426.
The Viral Videos are the Clue...
*Daniels says this is the furthest large scale Colonization Mission ever attempted, this means a combination so its not the furthest or largest just the largest thats been done as far away as the intended Destination (other Larger Colonies are not as far out).
*Tennessee in his Viral Message talks about how his younger brother would be much older than him when Tennessee arrives at their destination.
*Daniels in hers, admits she will never see those left behind again.
This means that their Original Destination is a place Far Far further away than the LV-223/426 System.
When David places Shaw in Cryo-sleep in the Crossing Prologue she asks him how long will it take, he replies he does not know... I think this is a misdirection and he simply needs her in Cryo-sleep for a Reason, maybe to Prolong her Life if she is not well... but also with her in Cryo-sleep David is free to explore LV-223 or LV-426 or even study the Ships records to get a better understanding about the Engineers Intentions.
So i think that both Paradise and the Covenants Original Destination are much further away than LV-223/426
Paradise/Planet 4 however may not be to far, it depends on the Speed and Journey Time, we have to safely Assume that the Covenant pick up the Signal that then leads them to decide to go to Paradise while they are part way to their destination.
Being a Weyland-Yutani Ship the Covenant would have been Traveling up to about 5 years in Space... which means Paradise could be 100LY Away if the ship is as fast as the Prometheus, or 435LY if its as fast as the refitted Nostromo.
But we truly dont know the distance of Paradise or the Speed of the Covenant.
So having the Covenant go to LV-223/426 would be likely if they are to tease this will connect to Alien, which would then imply that David/Walter or MUTHUR redirect the Ship
