Dear Science: You are right.  The back burster scoots off moments before the big explosion wrecks the lander.  They have their hands full.

I am afraid the very method of propagation of the neomorph is going to be an easy target for people prone to bitching about everything. I can hear them asking why doesn't everybody get infected, or why Oran doesn't gestate both a neomorph and a protomorph (twins) lol

Yeah, guys, we're gonna crackdown on spoilers, i'll be making a post about it soon. We don't want to censor anyone BUT we also don't want this movie ruined for people either.

When Prometheus came out we had huge spoiler issues and a lot of people and mods alike had the whole plot ruined before they got to see the movie, we don't want a repeat of that this time around.

@dk, Of course people need to be careful of what they click on, however, sometimes it's easier said than done and all we ask is that posts containing spoilers be clearly marked and that titles not contain any spoiler-ish details in them until a few weeks after the movies release. Bootleg material is always forbidden.

Kinda reminds me of the slow motion kills in the Fallout 3/4 games lol.

But yea it looks like the explosion blows the neomorph out of the lander and it slides down the ramp, gets up, then runs off
