ALIENuniverse Garb--Show it Off here!11,267 Views14 RepliesAdd A Reply
Hi guys! I was inspired to start this thread by talking with K.King on his awesome thread about going to the cinema in costume.
Figured I could start a thread, similar to the Fan Art ones, where we can show off our ALIENverse-inspired clothing; costumes, tees, hats--if you can wear it, share (photos of) it here!
I'll start by sharing some images of some hats I put together a few weeks ago (it's cheaper for me to sew a patch on a cheap hat than to buy a replica--even though it means I'll have some sore fingertips as I am no tailor)...
This PROMETHEUS-inspired hat is my favorite cap. I wore it yesterday with a Prometheus tee I ordered online back in '12.
I'm sporting this Weyland-Yutani trucker hat with a Nostromo tee I ordered online recently--figured it would be appropriate attire for ALIEN Day.
I'm also working on some ALIEN/PROMETHEUS-inspired uniforms. I'll try to post photos of them later on. I've got to head to work in a few.
Happy ALIEN Day, all! Let's see your ALIEN gear!
Sadly i only have Star Wars lol, lots i gave away, still got a few though at my parents in the loft (Snowspeeder, At-At, Tie-Fighter, Slave One ).
Only collections i really done since are Tie Fighter (Larger ones released about 10 years ago) and the He-Man Classics Range
Love to be able to save money and collect the Hot Toys stuff though.

(Some of) the original patches, (I have had them replicated exactly to put on my on clothing) some of the many T-shirts I made for myself, the original military cap worn by the mechanics aboard the Prometheus and copies I made for myself. A Diorama I made, and a picture of the movie ampules and Pierce's Peter Weyland suit boots.
K.King, your collection is amazing! And your artwork is fantastic! Kudos!
BigDave, most of my collectors items are Star Wars as well; mostly 4- and 3.5-inch figures, books, posters, and a few random items. I also have a Jedi costume that I sport whenever a new movie comes out.
King.... you are the King ;)
What a collection...

Here's some photos of my coveralls I've been making. Had to wait until I got home to get some photos of them:
Above are the gray coveralls I based on David's garb. Not intended to be screen-accurate, just for fun.
Above is my Weyland-Yutani uniform. Since it's generic, I can wear it over a lot of my ALIENverse gear--I have a growing collection of tee shirts. I usually wear it while also wearing my W-Y trucker hat.
This is the only ALIENverse hat I own that I didn't put together. I ordered it secondhand from some guy on Amazon who said it didn't fit his head (he must've had a big head!) It has an unusually long bill, but I guess that's a good thing--it shields my eyes from the sun well.
When I get better lighting I'll share some images of my ALIEN/PROMETHEUS tee shirt collection. I don't have enough talent to make the tees myself, so I have to order them online. Ah well, they go great with my coveralls. I'll be sure to share an image of my long-sleeved coveralls when I get them finished. I'm just procrastinating because I'm not looking forward to inevitably stabbing myself in the fingers when I sew on the patches...
Raido- Great work on your wardrobe! My wardrobe is overwhelming covered in Weyland Corp logos or patches. I do have a few articles of clothing that have been spared so that my wife doesn't cringe when we are out in public.
Cool to see everyone's stuff! very nice!
K.King, thank you! And nice Nostromo uniform!
Tom--nice outfit! Will you be wearing it to see COVENANT? I'm going to wear a third set of coveralls I'm working on (will post images when I'm finished), and I think K.King said he's going in costume as well.
Fun to see other folks' ALIEN gear! Thanks for sharing, guys!
Keen wardrobe Tom and Raido! It would have been wonderful if you two were able to join my wife and I at the Alien Day showing. We were the only ones in gear. Although there were a few Alien T-shirts. We did meet many people who came over to snap some pictures and met many who wished they had something to wear. The theatre staff thought we hired for the event.
Hi there. Figured I'd add the jacket that I was working on and am now wearing. Don't mind the hat.
I forgot about this thread. Nice garb everyone!
Tom I had to look twice- I thought that was a pic of Gordon Freeman!
i had a similar star wars toy story. my plan was to decorate my first house with them so they were safely in my dads loft.
Went round one day it was over a decade since they were put away for good.
My Dad gave them all away to someone and said bin them when you finished we dont need them.
made the phone call 6 years since the bin took them.
thats partly why i stopped loving star wars so much. it was too painful. i had EVERYTHING. 50 storm troopers maybe 15 emporer guard (just 2 exmples) started with original figures star wars then to TESB & ROTJ
the worst was a one off proto of a troop mobile carrying 3 on each side and 2 driving sat in the front seats each with an opening door. never seen that anywhere over the years. it was a test they told me it was for the display. thought i had a little gold not not to be. im off to cry !!!!!!
Take This.... This is the blood of our lord
