Are they simply a tad misguided and they are just referring to the organic xenomorph seen in the trailers and tv spots??

Oh I'm not raining, I love the confirmation hahaha especially since a few in the community doubted our initial reports lol it's nice to see things finally coming to fruition. 

@GrinninLinen, The fact that describe it like the Deacon leads me to believe that no, it's not the Xenomorph. They look distinctly different.

Well its unsure as to how the Reporters may have interpreted things.

They most likely have only seen Props, and a thing to remember is they used basic props and puppets so it gives the actors something to interact with as realistic as possible that will latter be replaced with CGI, but also some interactions would be Animations and Actors in Monster Suits.

The reporters would have came across a design room, which is also Davids workship and there is no telling how many things are on display there and how many of these will make it into the movie.

some reporters who reported the Deacon, also said something about Jurassic Park and so we can only assume they mean a Raptor Type look.

The Deacon had no Tail.... and to those who have not had greater knowledge or looking in depth at Prometheus, then it would be easy to confuse the Neomorph Stages with the Deacon.

Another thing to Remember...

Is we will see various designs, but thats not to say we will see them alive as we can make out different Face Hugger Drawings.

All we do know for 100% is we will see.

*Baby Neomorph's that would be the size of a Cat/Rabbit 18-24" tall. (Attack on Karine).

*Larger one shortly after thats now grown by 50-100% so 24-36" (Shot at during the Drop Ship Explosion Scene by Farris).

*One that again has grown about 50% now size of a Medium/Large Dog (attack on Rosenthal in Grass).

*The more pale and Humanoid looking Organism that attacks Rosenthal within the City Walls/complex.  Is this the Neomorph? or something Else? i think its likely a Neomorph Adult.

*Face Huggers that come from the Eggs.

*Chest Buster that seems a little larger than Alien one, but we dont see it as its under the shirt.

*Chest Buster thats more like the Alien 3 Bambi Burster.

*The less Bio-Mechanical Xenomorph aka Protomorph as some call it.

So it looks likely we see 3-4 Stages of the Xenomorph related Organism from the Eggs.

4-5 Stages of the Neomorph (includes Spore Infection).

But Ridley Scott teased there are many Monsters and someone else in Production claimed various versions...  do they mean including the Stages?

Or more than a Neomorph (x2) and Protomorph X1?

As far as TWO years ago the information we had was that David was going to Re-Create It...... this either meant the Xenomorph or Deacon.

And all you needed to Re-create it was the Tools and Knowledge and David has both, and wishes to play God and be a Creator himself. 

There would be TWO Xenomorph Related Organisms, David plays a Big Role in the Creation of One.

One of these was to be based off the Necronom 4, and some of the Ultramorph Designs in Prometheus that was never used.

One of them was a design based off the Original Design.

Both will look different to each other but we could see connections to the Classic 1979 Design in both.

One will be Transparent to a Degree and Pale.

Other will be closer to traditional color.

One has a Elongated Head, the other a more Bulbous Head.

One has eyes, one does not.

One has Tubes, the other has Spines.

Indeed AC has Two Monsters, but the descriptions given 2 years ago, was not based on AC and changes to the Story and also Designs have changed somewhat since Logans Re-write.

Prometheus was the same, there was designs and props that never made it.... so it will be interesting if we get a Art of the Film book and DVD Extras that may show some other un-used designs and see how close they was to what was described 2 years ago.

They are referring to the creature that was released from the Mural on LV 223, that caused the Juggernaut to actually crash. Something had to lay the eggs, remember. No other black goo was under temperature control. It was not a mural but a creature trapped. The Ultramorph was in the movie the whole time. David never returned to the Head room for a reason. He knew it would wake up eventually. He knew why the Engineers sacrificed themselves on LV 223 as well and they were all marching to their deaths, as he could read everything in the Temple. It defrosted. Something laid the EGGS. THE XENO ON LV 22 had to come from a human if Arcturians, asexual, produce, white neomorphs. The Engineers found out when they took Mary, that humans Produce Black Xenomorphs, their God, their whole reason for being.

So you are proposing the Mural is a Creature that is encased into the Mural, Fire and Stone covered similar fate to the Deacon from Prometheus.

It simply Merged with the Temple and the Temple started to grow, this could go some way to explain the Derelict Cargo Hold if this was a separate part that was attached that crashed and got buried and then started to grow.

Forgive me if i misinterpreted the indeed point in my post above ^^^

Indeed some set reports claimed to see the Deacon, from Prometheus, it could be mistaken for something else though.

Earlier reports at the time of shooting did say they saw a Trilobite being shot at by Weyland-Yutani Personnel, this however is nothing confirmed, or if it was true again it could be a misinterpretation of the Neomorph attacks.

I think a INTERESTING... comment was by Fassbender a few Months back, when asked about David and Shaw arriving Alone to Paradise.

Fassbender said "as far as we know" now is that aimed at the viewers, or is that aimed at as far as David and Shaw know?

This did lead to many to speculate the Deacon had got on board, but i would assume if this was the case, it does not spell well for David or Shaw... i have heard the theory that the Deacon kills Shaw and thats how the Ship Crashed.

Again i find this unlikely...

I would rather assume that a Worm has got on the ship, that would be easy to miss, or the Cryo-Pods had a Engineer.

Because a Engineer would mean Shaw and David dont have to go to Paradise for Answers, they could get them right there and then and the Black Goo is one hell of a Bargaining Tool to Force a Covenant Between David and Shaw and a Engineer.

Those Engineers appear to all be killed off, but then there appears to be a Body being experimented on in Davids Workshop that looks Fresh... i.e not one of those beings on Paradise unless some escaped.

I doubt its Shaw as i dont think they would put her in the Trailers.  And we do have to wonder where the Human Baby Newborn Skulls in his workshop came from.

This Engineer and Shaw the New Adam and Eve? before David breaks his Covenant?
