Daniel's Climatic Axe-Fight Scene (Potential spoiler)

I actually hope she does die. It would be a nice twist on the ending, an homage to Scott's original ending of ALIEN where the Big Chap bites Ripley's head off. I just don't want David to die yet. He's a damn interesting character and I want to see what Ridley does with him. Fates know the man loves his androids!

axe vs acid-blooded critter, whatever it is...heh, risky, but should be fun to see.

The title of this thread is an actual possible spoiler... It would be nice if such were worded more ambiguous and labeled potential spoiler,and then stated the scene in question within once someone opened it... Just food for thought for next time, gracias

I just now realized how to edit my posts. My apologies for not tagging it with "spoiler" . 

I actually believe this will be a Magnificent Seven ending as in no one will live. Just my two cents. How ever, I do believe David will somehow get the ship and use it, thus having over 2,000 colonist freezer pops to experiment on. 

Didn't River Dogs end that way too?

I would like to see all the crew members die, and to see all the colonists become xeno hosts :)

It would make a pretty climatic ending ;)

I agree i feel that it will be a heroic but ultimately a "dead end" for all the covenant crew.

I also feel that David will somehow take all of the 2000 colonists in cryo and use them for his experiments possibly egg morphing all of them which would be horrific. I dont feel the fact that 2000 colonists are in cryo is a throw away, if it is not something pertinent to the script there is no need for them to be in the movie.

Using logic, the only other item there were thousands of in Alien were the eggs in the derelict that the crew of the Nostromo found. So using the most likely case the thousands of colonists in cryo match up with the eventually thousands of eggs.

aaaand no Ripley will not involve anything Cameron-esque, and i hope to Jesus on a cracker that he like me pretends that 3 and definitely AR and the AVP's never happened as they are hot garbage.

But ultimately the 2000 in cryo are in the movie for a reason otherwise the script would just have our protagonists encountering David and the xeno style horrors and that would be it, there is a reason, plot device these popsicles were written into this story....just sayin'

@Raido If David didn't die by having his head completely torn off, I'd say the odds are pretty good in his favor for outliving pretty much the whole cast, lol. So I think he's safe.

Also wonder what the agenda of Weyland-Yutani is? They know of the lost Prometheus mission. Also know that Shaw survived cause she left a message not to come to the planet. Also, they are curious about David and his "evolution", hence why Walter is more stiff and mechanical...more a servant. They must know more than the Covenant crew does. Possible the transmission that Covenant picks up.

Also I agree about the 2,000 plus colonists...it's not by accident that we are told there are that many. They will play a part into David's plan for human termination.

Just read that and well i can only assume this has to be during the scene where she attempts to Shoot at the Xeno/Proto-morph while attached to the Freight Transport Drop Ship or maybe during the Terra-forming Bay Scene.

I would assume the Latter, as surely attacking a Xenomorph with a Axe will result in Blood Spray and we have to assume the Proto/Xeno-morph that gets on the Covenant or even the one we see at the end of the 2nd trailer would have to have Acid Blood Right?

If they indeed have such a Scene and Daniels manages to survive this with out much of a Scar (which is why i doubt its the scene from the Trailers) but if its the earlier Scene and she has no Scars or Wounds from the Acid after hacking the Alien with a Axe i would be very disappointed at how Stupid that would be...

Unless she throws the Axe..

Can we take this Scene as actually be in the movie?  Could they have been mixed up and is this Scene against.

a) A Mutated Human AKA like Fifield.

b) Walter or David instead?

c) A Engineer LOL

If its a Xenomorph related Organism and Daniels suffers no wounds then i would be disappointed, unless the Acid sprays only on her Space Suit and she manages to get rid of that.

I am Assuming now... So bit of a SPOILER.. but its only a assumption.

What if this is the Terraforming bay, in a confrontation with the Xenomorph and Daniels either uses teh Axe to Free herself from a Harness as she gets stuck, or its used to cut a Harness thats caught the Alien or a combination of one of these and she throws the Axe at the Alien so it then goes out of the Open Cargo Bay... in effect replacing the Harpoon that Ripley used in Alien?

That would make more sense.

As far as the 2000 colonist, and the way the movie is teasing things, it would be logical to assume this is a set up for those Colonists to get infected...  but it could be a bit of a Red Herring who knows.

The next movie Ridley Scott let slip is Alien Awakening and if he is backing into Alien and this movie is set prior to Alien Covenant but it seems after Prometheus...  then would we find out about the fate of the Covenant Crew and Daniels?

Not if the movie is set prior to Alien Covenant unless the next movie will be set in two different periods and will flash back from present post Alien Covenant so 2104 on-wards... while also dealing with prior Alien Covenant and so 2104 and prior

But then it depends what backing off into Alien means, if it means each movie will go backwards in time frame than surely that means the 3rd of these New Movies which includes Alien Covenant and Alien Awakens and a 3rd movie, would maybe be set prior to Prometheus?

Who knows...

I do think Ridley Scott wont kill off Daniels not if it has killed Shaw off to a degree that she may no longer be around at the time of Alien Covenant... i think they will use Daniels for at least One More Movie

Also we have to wonder what happens to those Colonists that are in Cryo-sleep... 

But it could be a open ending, like Prometheus, which left us open to wondering does the Sequel cover David and Shaw on their way to Paradise, or does it cover LV-223 or both....

So we may even never find out the fate of those Colonist on the Covenant... who knows.. but i think we will do as i am sure Ridley is impressed with Waterson's Performance to Warrant another Movie that has her in it.
