Foxxy_User, I'm not sure about David 8 or Walter ruling the xenomorphs.

I am very interested in seeing the connection with "We are Walter" and how Walter interacts with others of his kind. 

Walter's Biometric Regulation encompasses automatic updates. This is another clue toward something of a hive mind or consciousness connected to each other to share updates or new knowledge.

If David 8 were to use Walter (because he may be constructed in part of DNA) to create a biomechanical xenomorph, then this xenomorph could possibly talk to others (with Walter's gifts, control them?) and carry the human knowledge that was harnessed inside Walter.

That is why I focused on the Walter name origin in regards to leading the army. What army?

The names are extremely important to the Order that Dr. Shaw was secretly part of.  The Order of St. Thomas believes that naming something gives you power over it.  Sir Weyland needed a "true believer" from the other human faction aboard the Prometheus, because he wanted one of their members to bear witness to what David experienced:  any type of spiritual reward would be lost on David since he's a goddamn robot.

NASA's "Apollo" program took to the stars and made initial contact with the lunar goddess about their "Endeavor" for the "Discovery" of "Atlantis."  Most of NASA's space crafts have been named after Greek concepts and ideas...  it's only fitting the company continues the tradition, naming one of their ships the Prometheus and one of their colonies Olympia.  The company tried finding Atlantis at one point, but it was fruitless. 

Space has been privatized by the megacorps, yet W-Y honors the initial voyages made by Apollo.  Prometheus is just another reference to Greek myth and fits with the company's tradition of naming things after stuff like that. They were gonna go with Magellan because many of their ships have a nautical theme.  But the religious faction that Dr. Shaw was part of responded better to Prometheus, taking the bait.  Don't worry about Dr. Shaw, she's in a better place now.  Hades has dragged Shaw down to "the underworld" with him, on his yacht.  She's currently floating on one of the rivers of the underworld:  the River Lethe (or the River of Memory)...

Correct all the way CarynDelacroix. I believe I read where Ridley Scott had nine consulting scientists around him at a point during the Prometheus production and he asked who had faith. I think four of them raised their hands.

When David 8 was saying goodbye and "have a good journey" to Peter Weyland, you get a clear picture of what David 8 thinks of an afterlife. Yes, to him there is nothing and anything spiritual would be lost on him. 

Peter Weyland would most certainly welcome any advise, spiritual or otherwise, that could bring him closer to cheating death.

If a Christian scientist (such as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw) could provide any tool for Peter Weyland, he would most certainly use it.

Ati, thank you for the background on the Battle of Teutoburg Forest. I brought this up because Ridley Scott mentioned the Romans during this general time period in relation to the attack on LV-223.

Any historical connection mentioned above is in relation to "Rome's greatest defeat" at Teutoburg Forest and Ridley Scott mentioning the Romans in his historical Alien timeline.

One of the people they consulted with was a linguistics expert who helped create the Engineer language.  I'm more aware of the linguistic side of things than anything else, although I'm not sure if he's one of the people who was around Ridley then.

I'm looking at it from an insider and outsider perspective, in a way, because I can't be completely certain about where they're planning on going with some of the concepts/ideas they began developing before (and shortly after) Prometheus.  The Order of St. Thomas is an idea that originated in the comics/books: it's something that Fox may or may not still be interested in developing in the films.  They're the only other faction out there who has ships that are as fast as the Company's.

Linguistic anthropologists conduct cross-cultural linguistic studies, like David did in Prometheus, to understand which languages and groups are related.  Language itself forms a central part of culture, while economic systems & subsistence practices help form what can be considered the culture's core.

In Canada, archaeologists are a little more concerned about the environment and will try to preserve it and mitigate destruction of cultural history.  They've come a long way since colonial times:  anthropology began as a way to study the indigenous cultures who became part of the British, French, Dutch, and Spanish Empires.  There's a bloody history behind archaeology..  It all started in colonial times, and now the Company (which is British in origin) is spreading its colonies all throughout the Universe.

I have been posting pictures of comments because it show's a pattern of disrespect in Inquisitor Fifield's insistence of saying "obsessed, autistic, comments about age, etc"...make fun of my content but have some respect for other readers.

As far as Jimmy Hoffa, he was the equivalent of Godzilla in his arena when he disappeared. There is no disrespect in mentioning Jimmy Hoffa in this context and this is a popular unsolved crime for the obvious reasons.
