MemberFacehuggerApr-01-2017 9:53 AM40 days left and counting
To celebrate this milestone I've booked a half day (12th May ) off work, with two back to back showings being booked as soon as possible
I've already coaxed 2 friends ( who are fans ) to do the same thing
What will your plans be on the big day and who will you be dragging along?
Ps - I'm not gloating about the 12th, I still feel it's unfair...

MemberFacehuggerApr-01-2017 11:03 PMWell the 19th is my the last day of school, we get out early that day, 5 friends and I are going to one of their houses (haven't decided who's) and we will watch Prometheus, after it's over we'll drive to the theatre and watch Covenant about 2 or 3 times.

MemberTrilobiteApr-01-2017 11:31 PMI will likely be watching LIFE on dvd, avoiding forum spoilers and seeing AC on dvd summerish.

MemberFacehuggerApr-02-2017 12:14 AM@ Xenone - Can't think of a better way to spend your last day/ night of School...
Im trying to coax as many folks as I can to share the Covenantday love, however this is levelling out at three at the moment!

MemberFacehuggerApr-02-2017 8:26 AMI'm taking a vacation day on the 19th. Going to see it on the IMAX in Ann Arbor, MI. Can't wait!

MemberOvomorphApr-02-2017 9:52 AMI have the day off on Friday May 19th. My plant closes every other Friday. A good initial sign. I like the idea of watching Prometheus then going to the films. I think I will add that to my agenda. I am going to watch AC three times in a row at the IMAX. I will order" three tickets to AC". I will then explain to the box office that I want them sequentially one after the other. I will be watching it in New Hampshire. I will be smuggling an unfeasibly large amount of contraband (chocolate covered raisins and beers) in an oversize overcoat
BTW: "Goddam tropics here" your topics are awesome.
Today I have been dedicated to post on as many topics as possible until I pass out from drinking too many beers.

MemberOvomorphApr-02-2017 9:58 AMMy wife and i have had a babysitter lined up for the 19th for about 6 months now lol. We hardly ever get to go out, so we are going to watch covenant, go have dinner, and then go watch covenant again.........and i agree about the contraband lmao we will also have an unnecessary amount of candy and snacks

MemberFacehuggerApr-02-2017 10:42 AM@ regularparrott, thanks for the feedback and good vibes.
There are a lot on here with more knowledge and skills than I, I just have a real passion for Alien and Bladerunner and of course malefunctioning synthetics.
I hope Riddles brings home the bacon and delivers something that will appeal on many levels. I personally think he hit the jackpot with David, I hope this character is developed and used to maximum effect
@KyleH - The chances of my better half watching AC with me are the same odds as Holloway winning an Oscar! We too have a babysitter lined up, for Beauty and the Beast next week!

AdminEngineerApr-02-2017 10:48 AMIt is frustrating to have to wait a week to view Covenant here in North America, but the same thing happened with Prometheus. Basically, to avoid spoilers I would suggest not checking the forums after May 9th haha but as for the 19th I am very much prepared and plan on seeing Covenant many times.

MemberOvomorphApr-02-2017 10:49 AMI will be out of town for business that weekend, I plan to watch it where ever it's playing in the city.

MemberChestbursterApr-02-2017 11:03 AM@Dr. Jeff yep, we will be out of the country as well. Gonna be VERY hard to avoid spoilers, as I'm always tempted to read reviews and stuff like that. I've instructed my longsuffering wife (NON Alien fan that endures and goes to and watches all the movies despite that) to keep me off of the movie sites after the 12th/19th. We won't be able to see it until the weekend of the 26-28...ugh.

MemberFacehuggerApr-02-2017 11:09 AM2 of my friends have said they'll come with me to see it on the 19th, but not sure how hyped they'll be when I mention IMAX (lot of extra bucks at our local theater). If no one comes with me, I'll happily go alone sporting my Nostromo t-shirt and my Ripley funko pop figure in my pocket. And I definitely plane on seeing it more than once!
What's the story, MUTHUR?

MemberFacehuggerApr-02-2017 11:59 AM@Happyxeno - I know what you mean about friends being 'as hyped'
At the moment I feel like an AC preacher in the street and only a few are listening, im very similar to the people with clipboards you try and avoid in shopping centres.
Chris - I remember this situation with Prometheus, are you creating some proper groundrules?
I will be saying my goodbyes on 9th and not resurfacing until the black goo attack has finished!

Me too. I love both of the films.
I hope Ridley gives us a really good one
I think making David the antagonist is brilliant.

MemberNeomorphApr-03-2017 8:09 AMEventually I will go and see it with a friend, we watched Prometheus when it came out. I will probably not watch it the first day when they show it but soon enough to be able to catch it in the movie theaters. There are about one month and a half left until they will start to show it here.
