MemberPraetorianMar-30-2017 9:22 PMHere's a blast from the past.Tonight I'm playing Alien Trilogy(ps1)Released in 1996(I was only 6 years old lol)the game was basically a Doom mod(i kinda like it better than Doom because of the license)True to it's name it spanned the first three movies, with locations including Hadley's Hope, the Prison(on LV-426 lol),and the derelict. This was probably the first truely great Alien game in my opinion. It had a sizable roster of Enemies without straying from the films.A well rounded arsenal of weapons, complete with appropriate sound effects to boot.I posting to see how many of you have played this gem.I've been playing it for years and still love it!I guess I'm kinda old after all lol.(Sorry if this makes no sense,I've been drunking lol)

MemberTrilobiteMar-30-2017 9:51 PMGood choice. Can't remember the title but the one where he sat in a restaurant with a devilish fortune telling machine was great too.
I also have the Night Gallery series on there too which is pretty cool.

MemberTrilobiteMar-30-2017 10:00 PMNight Gallery is Serling's show. It is always him in an art gallery with pictures that give you the boo boo jeebies- creepy as f!$k! Each picture is the subject of the episode and he does his trademark intros and such like in TZ. If you like TZ you will like Night Gallery. It's basically TZ in color.
dk
MemberTrilobiteMar-30-2017 10:13 PMAtypical intro went like this:
His intro usually was, “Good evening, and welcome to a private showing of three paintings, displayed here for the first time. Each is a collector’s item in its own way—not because of any special artistic quality, but because each captures on a canvas, suspended in time and space, a frozen moment of a nightmare.”

MemberTrilobiteMar-30-2017 10:37 PMOh yes. I had forgotten about his involvement of Planet of the Apes. Nice fun fact!
ninXeno426
MemberPraetorianMar-30-2017 10:54 PMI believe he's mainly responsible for the big ending twist, which makes sense because it is like something out of the Twilight Zone

MemberChestbursterMar-31-2017 7:09 AMAh the memories... it was one of the first games I played on the Playstation along with Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.
I recently managed to get a brand new Black Label (original) copy of the game for around $44 (approximate USD price equivalent to what I paid here)
Now I just need to get Alien Resurrection so that I can face the Newfbgdjggg *is strangled*

MemberFacehuggerMar-31-2017 7:52 AMI spent many hours playing Alien Trilogy on my Sega Saturn. That game NAILED the vibe. It was creepy and had perfect pacing..

MemberChestbursterMar-31-2017 8:03 AMExactly, it's hard to describe but it really got the darkish Alien tone right in a way only Alien Isolation managed to nail yet again almost 20 years later.

MemberPraetorianMar-31-2017 10:18 AMNeomorph:I actually split the night between Alien Trilogy and Alien Resurrection. Both are great, while Alien Trilogy is basically a Doom mod(also a little slower than Doom)Alien Resurrection probably has more in common with Half Life,a lot of environmental hazards and such.

MemberPraetorianMar-31-2017 10:51 AMGreat topic ninXeno426. I'm still playing Metroid Prime and Gauntlet on Gamecube (each over and over) from 2002.
I am going to upgrade to a system that I can watch/play the Alien: Covenant VR on. I forecast that the Alien Virtual Reality experience is going to cause problems for me at home during binge plays.
dk
MemberTrilobiteMar-31-2017 10:52 AMNeomorph - I remember Oddworl Abe's Exodus. That game was perfect! I downloaded on PSN but it is way too pixilated. There is a newer Oddworld game on PSN but it uses the analog stick instead of the d pads so makes playing not so good.

MemberPraetorianMar-31-2017 10:59 AMThanks Ingeniero!I love old school games and Alien Trilogy is a favorite.I'm 27 and I've had it since I was 13 and play it at least once a year.Btw,can someone upload some pics for those who haven't played it so they can see what it's like?I tried but had hard time finding some,it would be awesomely appreciated guys
