Chris- I so hope you are correct!

This is what I expected would happen to Shaw, but with more religious undertones, David as Adam, Shaw will be Eve, then you have the planet being referred to as Paradise, and a ship of couples like the ark.

And the idea of being a 'Mother' has been pretty prevalent through the series, so Shaw effectively being the mother of the Xenos would be perfect. 

I think it depends if he does indeed do something to her and how.

The Temptress does look very much Bio-Mechanical and i think it depends how he infects her if he does, so this look is possible.

Another Alternative is what would the Black Goo on its own do?
