The beginning of Paradise might be a tie in. I remember that Ridley Scott said in an interview somewhere that this ritual could be taking place anywhere. Of course the movie leads us to believe it is Earth, but with him saying that it could take place anywhere, i feel that possibly he may have been saying this is taking place in the universe at the hands of these beings.

Now the ship overhead in this scene is far different than that of the Engineers later in the film. Of course they could have multiple style of ships or developed new tech as time went on.....but bare with me.......What if the primitive "less techy" engineers are being forced to perform this ritual for some reason and this scene in the beginning of Prometheus is actually on Paradise where we find ourselves in Covenant ?

The goo breaks him down and reforms into some other kind of DNA he goes into the water and somehow all of the other engineers on the planet either ingest by purpose or accident this mutated DNA through the water supply and they all end up petrified looking like in the scene from Alien Covenant. The ship above in Prometheus could be that higher power than the Engineers and something we run into in the next movie because if that is so they are the driving force behind the Engineers and everything and they could be that higher power and other life form out there that Ridley has mentioned as the designer of everything...what are your thoughts on this?

Grinning & Dropping Linen, thank you for the clearly written question designed for those 5 years old and up.

I agree and think the beginning of Prometheus shows Paradise.

I didn't see any plant life on LV-223 when they were coming in through the mountains and you clearly see plant life (something green) around the river basin up to the waterfall where the Engineer takes in the black goo.

The scenery the Covenant ship flies over on their trip down to the surface reminds me of this area above with the waterfall and river below. The beginning of Prometheus may have shown us the beginning of the process of reforming Paradise in the distant past.

I totally agree, the engineers did seed life on other planets.

Also great joke ingeniero, really funny XD

Obsession is a Power, not a Curse ;)
