Scrap my whole whacky idea about Rik Barnett, BigDave was indeed correct. The screenshot shows one of Billy Crudup's stunt doubles, Toby Fuller. Below is the latest credit from his StuntBook Australia member profile. Apologies, and thanks for the replies everyone!

Hello SCIFIED! Just when you thought I had gone...

I had to post this as I think it may be of some interest.

Around May 2013 there were rumours circulating that Ridley Scott had met multiple times with young British actor Rik Barnett, to discuss him playing a key supporting role in the [then untitled] PROMETHEUS sequel. At the time SCIFIED received information regarding this from a "very reliable source."

The informant also stated that this role would be to portray someone connected to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw! Speculation was rife on the PROMETHEUS forum, but with no further news and the passage of time I think most of us either totally forgot about this rumour, or believed that Barnett's possible involvement was shelved.

Why do I bring this up now you wonder? Granted you may think it is a wild theory, but a little bolt of lightening flashed through my deranged brain when I studied the image of the guy who is being chestbusted in the latest trailer. What if he was one of the colonists already in cryosleep and emerges later in the story? Perhaps even a relative/younger brother of Dr. Shaw?

EDIT: Another screenshot of the CB victim...

The person in that scene has a slightly bulbous nose, and it doesn’t match up with any of the male actors we already know will make up the Covenant crew. Aside from that, the persons' features and hair really do not totally match any of those actors.

I propose that it could be Rik Barnett. Back in 2012-13 there were very few images available of Rik, check below for the images we became familiar with…

Contrast those images with the ones below and remember that Rik is now 26/27 years old…

There's a high possibility that I am totally wrong...but you never know ;)

I just couldn't match any of the known cast to the image, but the facial features are contorted so that could add to the difficulty. Really doesn't look like Billy Crudup, who we know gets Chestbusted!

Good observation Lone! I had figured the studio possibly altered images/footage this time around, but your theory could be correct too.

It's a long shot, but....

Looking at the images its really hard to decipher.. the guy in still definitely doesn't look like any of the crew members that we have seen however I think he looks to be older than 26 , possibly mid to late 30's however that could just be my old eyesight. Its a great possibility though, a cast member that we have yet to meet!

Lightened, rotated and sharpened version of the second screenshot...Crudup was wearing dark cargo trousers, this victim appears to be wearing lighter-tan cargo trousers.

No wedding ring visible on either screenshot. Crudup was definitely wearing a ring!

If he is Rik Barnett, that morph will be a very hairy one! :D

so i let you all decide..

I mentioned on another Topic, that Crudup was also not wearing a Watch in any of the other shots.. where we clearly saw his arms....  Trailers and Last Supper Viral.

Also Crudups bottoms are darker and his T-Shirt was too.

However the Face Hugger victim in the trailer with the same jacket as Crudup has a ring and watch but indeed the shot in question i cant see a ring... but its maybe hard to make out
