The Neomorph and the facehugger

MemberPraetorianMar-04-2017 4:41 PMHas anyone noticed that between the Neomorph and the facehugger that there is somewhat of a resemblance? Both are flesh colored, have similar tales and have a thing for faces.

MemberFacehuggerMar-04-2017 5:17 PMThe face hugger is so cute and cuddly when attached! I want one!!!!!
Seriously, the similarities between the two are just one onf the many reasons why I don't believe David had a hand in crafting the Neomorph spores...I believe that the eco-sytem was corrupted before he got there and he has just utilized this whole Chernobyl-of-a planet as his Mad-scientist laboratory.

MemberPraetorianMar-04-2017 5:22 PMIt's in the water i think.Tell me more about this idea of yours,I think you and i might be on the same page

MemberFacehuggerMar-04-2017 5:53 PM@nin. The creators or Masters of the Engineers did this. Similar to the biblical story of Eden, when God barred their way (Adam & Eve) from returning to the garden after they sinned, the same may apply here. Their masters may have made sure this planet will never ever be the Engineer paradise again...
I also think their masters gave them a taste of their own Black goo cooking. I believe that its in the water, and in the soil and it may even be in the air. That is why the fungus looking things that grew on the ground had the neomorph spores.
I'm willing to bet everything that grows on that planet has some issue with it tied to mutations that could arise. Try eating some of that wheat and see what happens...
If this is the case, this may be a reason Shaw could be tucked away in a cryo-pod for safe-keeping. This very planet is deadly. Every bit of pollen, every bit of soil, every drop of water, everything on this planet sucks in regards genetic maninuplation...and it's probably not for your good.

MemberDeaconMar-04-2017 6:08 PMIndeed the Face Hugger and Neomorph may look a bit similar and the Xenomorph is darker like the Deacon.... but neither are Bio-Mechanical like the 1979 Big Chap.
I am not sure how connected they are but at the end of the day all the Organisms are connected through the Black Goo. I am not sure if we would ever get a explanation why the Face Hugger and Trilobites are fleshy color while the Xeno and Deacon are dark grey/blue and dark/grey metalic

I think something broadly along those lines could be at play, how far connected to what you put is open for debate because its something that can have many possible ways of connecting, but i think the broad strokes indeed i think you could be right at least to a degree for sure.

MemberFacehuggerMar-04-2017 6:14 PMImagine a scene where they are in a low-altitude flight over the planet later on or in a flashback to earlier events, and on the ground, the forests, mountains, waters and just everything vital around a wide array of goo-morphish creatures spawns out of animals no matter big or small and frolics around in hordes of crotesque abominations.
even the plants are malformed, with cancerous and organic growths everywhere and somehow alive and some feed on animals like Gigeresque venus flytraps catching them and letting them morph into their shape.

MemberPraetorianMar-04-2017 8:49 PMChris had observed that there is a water fall behind the Juggernaut as well as water running through it.Now if we assume that the one David and Shaw left in had a payload of the black goo(and it's a safe assumption)then upon crashing it may broken out into the water.First lake's and streams, then the ocean. From there, much like you said,it would be absorbed into the atmosphere where we would then have black goo contaminated rain. Not only would it fertilize the world(potentially creating the plants that cause the spores)but it would also contaminate its population.Imagine now a world of people/engineers,all kinda like Fifeld, all murdering each other.

i like the theory, but i prefer shaw and david getting shot down as a ufo by the engineers, black goo escapes and wrecks all the animal life on the planet. Thats why david and shaw arent dead by the engineers.
its a tough one, if the engineers spotted the ship incoming, as you would expect, they would surely realise the goo would be onboard???
ninXeno426
MemberPraetorianMar-05-2017 1:00 PMA ufo?Are you thinking along the lines of the type of ship seen at the beginning of Prometheus?

MemberDeaconMar-05-2017 1:22 PMIndeed maybe the Waterfall does play a role, it would be a ideal way to spread the contaminant

MemberOvomorphMar-05-2017 7:33 PMImagine is one of the neomorphs some how found its way into the egg cavern, and was facehugged...what kind of abomination would it birth inside the bowels of that cavern/juggernaut
ninXeno426
MemberPraetorianMar-05-2017 7:36 PMI wonder if thats possible.Intriguing idea Slab_bay

MemberOvomorphMar-05-2017 8:58 PMIf the neomorph differs enough to fight a protomorph, then maybe a facehugger would indeed latch it's self onto a neomorph...would be quite a creation

MemberFacehuggerMar-05-2017 9:26 PM@ninXeno, remember in a previous post (why is the water black?)some of us thought it was shadow and reflection, well looks like your water theory might be correct if there is water
running through the jugger and especially if some of the urns washed away as well then the whole planet, i mean everywhere
will be effected.
ninXeno426
MemberPraetorianMar-05-2017 9:35 PMYeah,It seems very likely.I recommend Prometheus Fire and Stone(if you haven't already read it that is)It gives you an idea of what kind of effects the black goo might have on the environment.

MemberFacehuggerMar-05-2017 9:39 PMNo i have not read it, the only books i have read outside of movie novelisation is Nightmare Asylum and Earth hive about 17 yrs ago, i can't remember what happened to that book.
ninXeno426
MemberPraetorianMar-05-2017 9:40 PMQuite the abomination indeed Slab_bay,especially considering that the Neomorph seems quite different from the Xenomorph.
