@Not Ryuuko keep in mind this is ten years after Prometheus. If that's Shaw, she died days before these events, if not hours.

It very well could be, but I agree with Myrddin365, that it looks like that body was the result of something during the course of the film or days before it in the timeline. I mean, Shaw might die on screen in Covenant, but I don't really think that is her. Here come a couple of screen caps, POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD
