ALIEN: COVENANT TITLE TRANSLATION
Ati
MemberPraetorianFeb-07-2017 3:47 PMThere were some countries where the original title of Alien was translated into another language using the word 'death'.
For example, 'The Eighth Passenger Is the Death'
Despite the fact that we haven't seen the movie yet, imagine that you are part of a creative team and your task is to find a good title version for the movie Alien: Covenant.
Of course, you have to use the word 'death'. What are your versions?

MemberPraetorianFeb-07-2017 8:16 PMninXeno426 - Your title is very good - considering that we don't know much about the story. The title Prometheus was OK in that language but Alien: Covenant is an impossible one. The word 'covenant' can be translated but it is not enough for an Alien movie for that audience because of the previous Alien movie titles. I think 'Our Origin Is the Death' or 'The Origin Is the Death' is brilliant.
Neomorph - Yes, beyond doubt, it draws attention...

MemberPraetorianFeb-07-2017 8:30 PMdk - It's true, they are funny titles, at the same time, it's easy to distinguish them.
In Blade Runner Gaff (Edward James Olmos) uses Hungarian language in a conversation with Decker. This is the scene in the film where they first meet at the Asian 'street food diner'. That is a funny sentence for a Hungarian, undeniably. Los Angeles, 2019, and Hungarian swearing...

MemberPraetorianFeb-11-2017 6:02 PMIt's a little bit stupid, but the Star Wars titles seem to be good raw material for alternate title versions:
A New Death
The Death Strikes Back
Return of the Death
The Phantom Death
The Attack of the Death
The Revenge of the Death
aaaaand:
The Death Awakens
