Shaw may not be on the planet..

Its been a month since the Alien covenant trailer was released and many questions have emerged :

Who are the caracters? What planet is this? Is Daniels will act like Ripley? Several smart questions that will certainly have answers on May 19th. But one question in particular is on the lips of many people : Where is Shaw?

Some reliable sources explain that the actress Noomi Rapace (Shaw) will not play such an important role in Alien covenant compared to her caracter in Prometheus.

If we watch the trailer correcly, it seems that this information is true because Shaw is not visually presented to us. Many people began to think that Shaw was already on the planet before the covenant because of the necklace that Daniels finds in the Space Jockey. However, after my last viewing, one face caught my attention. When the covenant crew land on the planet, a caracter behind David look strangely like Shaw because of the facial structure. If Shaw is with the crew of the covenant at the time of landing, the David we see on the same image can very well be David 8 from Prometheus and not the other robot Walter (played by the same actor).

Would Shaw have been recovered by the covenant before they arrived on the planet? If so, was she still with David? Interesting stuff. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Spoiler alert**

Per the 4chan anon test screening poster, Shaw is already deceased at the hands of David by the time the covenant crew show up. David appearently lies to the covenant crew about how she died. But later in the film, Walter discovers the truth. That David has played everyone and is responsible for all the death and destruction. 

I encourage a search for the spoiler breakdown if you want more. While it can't be 100% confirmed, the post was deemed "likely credible" by some folks at avpgalaxy. It was also taken down. But luckily someone archived it before that happened.

I for one hope she is still alive. some don't like her and I wasn't too fussed on her either, but her character is something different in the franchise. wel have daniels who I doubt will want to search the galaxy for the engineers so shaw gives us this character to follow for answers.

I hope that Shaw is alive too, killing her would be a waste.

jk lol. I dont know how I feel about her being killed off by David. Maybe it could be a plot point for the black goo and the quest for immortality.

There is 7-8 people in this shot and i can work out 6 of them, maybe one more... the other i cant say who it is.

I just scanned the supposed leak on 4chan and man will I be disappointing if its true.

Although the ending seems to set up for a sequel.

I found flaws in the 4Chan leaks, but maybe more details are added to cover them up... but seems a lot of connected scenes to anything we have not seen in trailers or still images they dont have much explanation for... but maybe they have more details as go along.

I heard off someone who claimed to seen the movie in October,  and its a bit like 4Chan but a bit different i wont share here in case its a SPOILER...

Seems more detailed... apart from any parts that connect to Prometheus, Shaw, Engineers and details of how the Eggs are created...

But from this persons claims.. these things are simply not covered,  only in regards to like stuff like in Prometheus as far as we can ask or see those Chest Busted Engineers on the Juggernaught with no explanation.

and like who was in the Pebble ship with no explanation... and so the Prometheus things are gonna be like those... vaguely shown or mentioned.

Its a straight up simple heading for XXXX end up XXXX1 go down get infected, escape route cut off... get seperated.. thing being helped then not.... all die off but few... think escaped to ship in safety but not...  then at end few survive and off to XXXX

Yeah sorry kind of spoiler.. but if this is how it is... then basically a bit of a wasted opportunity.

They may as well had say had it  they was off to some world where David was not there.... and come across left overs of a gone Engineer World thats had Black Goo treatment and its left to develop Spores and Eggs that crew get infected with...

bigdave, if u look hard enough, youl find flaws no matter what script/ spoiler u read. I found flaws with spaihts' script and it seems to be the preferred fans version. as a read, I prefer the spaihts script yet found flaws even though I wasn't looking for any. id much rather speculate at this point rather than read someones spoiler/ fictional theory on the movie. I think its more fun seeing other peoples theories on what going to happen and its great when u see another take on the same subject and u think to urself 'hey u know I never thought of it like that'.

Sam1234: I hope that Daniels won’t be a copy of Ripley but not as Shaw either. A worry that I have is that Fox decided to borrow too much from Alien so that Daniels would be too much like Ripley. We have seen her in four Alien movies so I hope that we will get something new this time.

Resurgence: The difference is that Ripley and Newt were relatable characters; Shaw on the other hand came off as a naïve and annoying. I really could feel sympathy for the struggles that Ripley and Newt were put into but I couldn’t do that with Shaw. Hopefully they will make Daniels into a well-done character, I am sort of interested to see how they have been dealing with that.
