I saw "Prometheus" two days in a row. I'm even more enthusiastic about "Alien: Covenant" though I doubt I'll see it three days in a row. With the imminent release of the trailer, I wonder how we'll be able to sustain this momentum until the movie's debut. Whatever will there be to discuss? Hee hee

I plan to avoid all trailers, teasers, and people. I'm going to go to the theatre with as little information as possible. (I hate how trailers run movies so if I care about a film, I will close my eyes and cover my ears).
I don't watch TV and I'm careful what I click on. After I watch the movie a couple times at theatre, I will remain silent and I will never read any reviews or articles or anything about it for multiple years.
When it comes out on DVD, I will immediately buy it (unlike other movies I wait till a pawn shop has a $2 copy). Then I will watch the DVD dozens of times, still never having talked with anyone else about the movie or asking their opinion or reading retarded online articles about the film.
The mistake I made with Prometheus is that I went to the movie with my girlfriend at the time (who could not appreciate it). And then I made the mistake of reading reviews and watching youtube vids about the movies. All of them ruined the experience for me with their negativity. The movie was wonderful despite having been made by mere humans.
My Covenant experience will be strictly personal for many years. That way, no deuchbags can ruin the movie for me by either criticizing it or pointing out things I missed. I want to notice things for myself instead of being hand fed.

I'm going to watch the teaser, the trailer, and then I'm going to disappear, avoiding ALL spoilers/theories...
When the film comes out, I'll watch it in theatres, and then get back online and see all the discussions on it.

Going to midnight showing just like I did for Prometheus. So glad I get to experience this mythology in the theatres as I was a little one when the original came out

I hope to take time off work, so that I can see it multiple times! ;)
"Let The Cosmic Incubation Begin" ~ H.R. Giger

Definitely going to it at midnight. I understand that there will be earlier showings, but the sun will still be up and I want to see it in darkness!

I think I will preorder and watch on BR.
This is an old post but deserves revisiting now that more info is out since the original post.

Then again, maybe I shouldl stand in line forever on opening night and get lucky enough to find a seat in the front row next to a door with a glaring Exit sign. Or I could be somewhere in the middle watching a bunch of phones’ glows. Maybe I could be lucky enough to sit close to someone who loudly proclaims insider knowledge because he is a Scified member and proceeds to spoil the movie. Oh yes, there is always the time of sitting through ads for other movies I don’t GAF about. This sounds like the perfect way to experience a long awaited movie ;)! Blue ray at home with drinks , snacks, and a pause button with a close bathroom sounds pretty good to me. Aint I a party pooping stinker?!

Opening day, Imax. And then discuss it with you guys!

Just got laid off today,so home most likely (unfortunately)
Nothing the God of biomechanics wouldn't let you in heaven for

I'm going to avoid spoilers, et cetera, by hiding from the Internet for a while before the movie is released. Definitely seeing it opening night, all-out, in my Prometheus uniform jumpsuit that I've been working on.

This is going to be tough for me. My wife and I are celebrating our anniversary on May 19th and we will be, nonreluctantly, in the Caribbean, so I will not be able to see the movie on opening night, and it'll drive me crazy until we get home, so I will take a hiatus from the internet until around the 23rd-24th, where I'll drag my poor wife with me to see it a couple 2-3 times, then I will avoid all the reviews and crap that ruined Prometheus. Anyone with half a brain was TOLD that Prometheus was NOT about xeno's and was TOLD that it would open more questions than it answered, but yet the public, fans, and press didn't listen, and unfairly treated that movie.
I'm not going to let them/all the haters ruin it for me this time.
However, in retrospect, it probably is the best thing that ever happened, because we are getting A:C as a response, which I predict will be better and stronger than any Alien movie since A:1!
