In 1979's Alien we saw kane approaching the cargo egg and noticing upside down water drips. We also saw the blue laser cloud that seem to hover above all of the eggs.....We got to see thru the egg as illuminated by Kane's flashlight.....

Do you think we will see these things somewhere in Alien: Covenant?

With Ridley at the help and he did say we would see Eggs, i think he is the kind of person who would not overlook such details and so yes i think maybe we could.

I would suggest that its a reaction to the protective barrier being broken.

I agree with that. It would be cool to see again.

If there be eggs, there will be droplets! :)

To me the droplets almost appeared silvery, like mercury? A liquid metal, which makes sense given the biomechanical physiology. Their upward movement gave an amazing, creepy effect, very Alien!

The Prometheus ampules 'sweating' was a similar effect. Both egg and ampule activated, when the seal [blue beam in A L I E N, door seal in Prometheus] is broken/triggered.

Regarding the blue-laser seal, the intention was to have it cover all of the eggs. In some production still wide-shots, the angle makes it appear otherwise.

@Lone - yes, I also thought the liquid on the eggs was/is the same, or similar, to the liquid on the urns

Very intriguing . . .
