I ran it through "What The Font" on Myfonts.com and it didn't find a definitive match. My guess is it probably is a custom font designed for the film. Might be tough to find out what it's called...

OvomorphMember0 XPJul-16-2012 1:38 PMIs there any font for the temple writings/symbols?
Uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.

EngineerAdmin22520 XPJul-16-2012 4:31 PMNice detective work MVMNT. Those looks close enough for sure. Any idea on what font they used for the IMAX Prometheus font? The one they used for the title fade in in the opening scene of the film?

OvomorphMember0 XPJul-16-2012 4:17 PMMy gut feeling is that it is custom made...

OvomorphMember0 XPJul-16-2012 4:25 PMMicrograma was used on the external of the Prometheus - and maybe adapted for the inside
It's also the typeface used in ALIEN and 2001 - later became Eurostile but also has a free variant called Micro technic

Ben Procter used Micro technic in his concept art by the way :)

OvomorphMember43 XPJul-16-2012 5:10 PMI'd also like to know if the font used for the Engineer's language is available anywhere. I tried a search but didn't have any luck finding one. I know I can draw it, using pics as references, but it'd be nice to have a font. :P :)

MVMNT
OvomorphMember0 XPJul-16-2012 5:11 PMI think it's custom, based upon Sumerian maybe - anyone?

I really think this is a custom font. It seems to share the same lineage as a lot of sci-fi fonts, but there are some pretty distinct characters in the set. It looks like they used it on the exterior as well (the 05):

A different font for the "Prometheus" wordmark too:

OvomorphMember0 XPJul-17-2012 4:26 PMThe word mark on that last shot was pretty roughly comped on top for some reason in the trailers. The one I really noticed seem to look somewhat disjointed from the actual ship

OvomorphMember0 XPJul-20-2012 12:21 PMKorataki used in Mass Effect looks close to the interior signage in USCSS Prometheus. Some numbers and letters look different, but this is the closest I could find so far.

OvomorphMember0 XPJan-16-2013 6:08 PMThe typeface Trivial is used for various signage inside the ship and on various computer displays. (They use a mix of both the letters available from the uppercase and lowercase sets of the Trivial typeface.) See http://www.dafont.com/trivial.font for download.
