Shaw can't have babies. Cuddles the Huggoth/Trilobite isn't a baby - it's mutated sperm. Dr. Shaw caught Space Herpes from Holloway.
I'm kidding. It had an umbilical cord.
But think about it.

Did you notice how that thing had a human-like spine once it was on top of the Engineer?

I did think about it. If Halloway has the black **** in his body now, he obviously passed it on to Shaw. Halloway starts to decompose or whatever, Shaw just gets preggo. Wouldn't her body have absorbed the black **** too like Halloway giving her AIDS or something? I just dont see how other than being preggers, she has no side effects of Halloway and swapping bodily fluids.

There's a placental filter. It's why babies can be born without AIDS from a mother who has AIDS. It's probably also why a baby with genetic abnormalities don't pass those abnormal genetic stem cells to the mother while she's pregnant.
@Bishop79 - I didn't catch that. There are a lot of things I'm reading on this board I don't think I caught in the movie. Time to see it again, I think.
