OvomorphMember0 XPJun-03-2012 6:22 PMare you saying don't analyze it or don't OVER analyze it?

OvomorphMember0 XPJun-03-2012 6:24 PMEvery time I hear a fanboy in the throes of outrage and disgust (Star Trek 2009, Prometheus, Etc.) all I can think of, as a former Star Wars fanatic, is "You got a beautiful, engaging, exciting, well made film with a few flaws that really do not tarnish the overall film. I got Jar Jar Binks and three honestly poorly made films (minus the visuals)."

OvomorphMember0 XPJun-03-2012 6:22 PMI thought Ash did a dissection. He just needed to wait for the blood to oxidize.

OvomorphMember0 XPJun-03-2012 6:38 PMIn Alien , the lack of explanation of the SJ, was it considered a flaw?

OvomorphMember0 XPJun-03-2012 7:35 PMYou are right! There are many questions left opened in ALIEN. How Jonesy (the cat) got in the damn locker, why didn't we hear Ash coming in (that door always made a loud noise) the "Mother's Room" while Ripley was in there, how did the Xeno figured out Ripley's plan of blowing up the Nostromo and find his way into the Narcisus spaceship, etc. People are asking way to much about the ALIEN movie mythology in Prometheus. ALIENS could have explained some open points of ALIEN, but it didn't and it was a great movie indeed. So let's all rejoice on the fun of watching Prometheus without over analysing it. Trying to find explanations for "this" or "that".

OvomorphMember15 XPJun-04-2012 7:12 AMi dont try to look into whys and why nots about a starwars fan and i didnt tear apart pm1...because its a film for entertainment.....i am a startrek fan and i dont try and reason why or how or what a time travel mega fan and i know from other people that if they dont understand it they dont like it....but thats them. you dont have to fathom out the secrets of the universe or in and outs of a film....its to visit worlds that may or may not exist and it for fun and a scare or a laff........i personnely would have liked to have seen alien 3 as the first draft in a artificial prison in space .....its fantasy.....its fun.....AND ITS JUST A FILM. NO OFFENCE INTENDED TO ANYONE....just my thoughts and feelings :)

OvomorphMember0 XPJun-04-2012 9:15 AMI did try to enjoy it, but ultimately it wasn't very enjoyable however Alien, Star Wars and Star Trek were. I paid £12 to watch it so why cant I analyse it? Am I just to accept everything at face value and not think about everything I hear and see?

OvomorphMember0 XPJun-04-2012 12:37 PMthere was no internet at the time
