The same lab she collapses in the entrance to where Weyland, with David at his feet, and another person are briefing each other? I'm guessing someone removes their jacket and covers her up because she is a bloody mess. It seems like now the trailers shows a scene where David or someone else is alone with Shaw observing her as she is in cryo, all the other beds are clearly empty. Could the we were so wrong scene play out after the mission is accomplished and Weyland and Company start celebrating their achievement, not really understanding the gravity of the situation and it's possible effects on humankind? Maybe David has been working on an elixer (breaking Alien ampules open, getting busy in the lab ) to regenerate tissue or stop or revers the aging proccess and now they want to try it out on Mr. Weyland ( I know, I know, stealing fire from the gods ). I wonder if she is trying to update and plead with, persuade a truly ignorant Weyland to not do something that has not been done as of yet, or if he even cares? Could this information she gives them lead to Weyland in spacesuit and Dickie and others going back to the Engineers craft? OvomorphMember0 XPMay-25-2012 3:31 PMI think you might be right. Weyland funded the mission and will stop at nothing to find the key to immortality. That is his sole mission and he tells David to "try harder". It seems David accomplishes this and as you stated....all hell breaks loose.....!
Just a theory now but it i plausible. OvomorphMember67 XPMay-25-2012 3:42 PMI forgot the running time of the movie, but a lot can happen and it's not easy to read into foreshadowing clips from a film. It just seems that a lot of the events may take part later in the movie. When I first saw the trailer I assumed 1'st trip engineers wake up, kills half of crew, they understand their plight and try to destroy Engineer craft. Now I'm thinking if this follows Sir Ridley's other films it has 2 hour or more hours running time, a LOT or plots can take place, just when you think it's over.

OvomorphMember0 XPMay-25-2012 3:53 PMI think what we are seeing there if it plays out as you are suggesting is what would've happened to Ripley in Alien 3 had she surrendered herself to The Company who came to get her at Fiorina Fury 101. This is how they surely would've treated Ripley had she not scuppered their chances and sacraficed herself... much like the Bio Engineer may do! This just delays the inevitable as they end up treating Ripley and all of her six sisters really badly with deadly experiments to create her. So this is an opportunity to play out the scenario: "What would happen if The Company had aquired into their possession some one or more whom may or may not be infected and how would that play out on film?OvomorphMember67 XPMay-25-2012 4:17 PMAfter she collapses in front of Weyland it seems she has allready had the medical procedure but why run to him if he is an enemy? I wonder what part of her hitting yellow suited bio hazzard guy in head as she feigns sleep fits into this?

Stay Tuned Baby !!!OvomorphMember0 XPMay-25-2012 7:54 PMshaw is wearing the same shirt when she is making out with holloway in the tv spots, so that has to be before the birthing scene (don't think she would be into some hot stuff when she just gave birth to an alien) and I doubt they would be getting the exact same shirt for her to put on later...OvomorphMember67 XPMay-25-2012 9:32 PMLooking at the footage of Weyland and the 2 crew with him in the lab, all 3 have white , thin, collared lab coats, also on separate closeups of David the lab coats are nice, buttoned, very professional looking. I've got to find the make out clip for comparison. Plus, as in a hospital or space environment they might have plenty of spare uniforms such as lab coats hanging around. Add A Reply
