i get the impression this video is a pitch to Yutani, that possibly
Weyland Industries got a hold of, and decides to go forward with
Shaw's proposal, jumping ahead of Yutani's chances to discover
what Shaw is proposing
since it appears that Yutani has no interest in Shaw's idea
much in the way Jodie Fosters character pitched her proposal
to Hadden Industries in the film "Contact". at least that is the
impression i got after watching it

"Weyland" at the beginning. so in this case, perhaps it is Yutani

Unless there's another Mr. Weyland who also happens to be the head of Yutani, as opposed to the Mr. Weyland who's head of Weyland?

It's a "pitch to Yutani"? Then, "she's a Yutani employee"? Then it's Yutani spying on Weyland [via a file with a Weyland Intertitle?...]
I don't see this need for conspiracy under [i]every[/i] single stone? It's a viral.
She's obviously calling Weyland - and what she says fits what we understand of the Plot.
So, we see that Weyland has some Yutani analysis software on his device, so [i]what?[/i]
Weyland Industries can't be good at [i]everything,[/i] that would be impossible and, importantly, implausible.
Apple Computers are not in the vacuum manufacture business - so, perhaps they vacuum their floors with a Dyson?
As they don't make vacuums, maybe they choose to use the coolest and most well-designed one that someone [i]else[/i] makes?
Maybe, at some time in the future, they'll decide they want to get into the vacuum business and so, for that, or for one of a million other interesting reasons or another, they buy, or merge with Dyson?
If that were to happen, it wouldn't mean every time they previously vacuumed the floors at Apple HQ with a Dyson, there was some secret Dyson plot cooking or that the Apple employee pushing it was a Dyson spy?....
For God's sake.
From a Story point of view, the Authors have to begin feeding the Yutani thread into the backstory somehow, little by little - because at some point, we, as the audience [i]already[/i] know that some company callled Yutani will turn out to be significant, in the future.
That's all I think this is - feeding in the Yutani thread, little by little: and I think it's a Masterclass.
